Show me where I said that Georgia is the third best team...oh wait, I didn't.

Slow your roll. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you. Simply pointing out that the supposed #3 team in the country got BLOWN THE FUCK OUT.

by what metric does one determine the best team? The Buckeyes are undefeated. Idgaf about SOS. It's shaded by voter bias. Might Alabama be the best team in the country? Possibly. But I don't want to hear about the SEC SOS. bama didn't play UGA or uscocks or UF. They played a bunch of creampuffs. The minute they played against some decent talent they looked very vulnerable.

I would wager that @MSU, @PSU, @Wisky, with Nebraska at home is a tougher schedule than ANY team in the SEC. ratings be damned.

get ready for it to happen again next year to.

LSU's East opponents 2012 - UF and Carolina (both in top 15 teams)
Bama's East opponents 2012 - Tenn and Missouri (combined 2 conf wins)

LSU's East opponents 2013 - UF and UGA (both in top 5 this year)
Bama's East opponents 2013 - Tenn and KY (combined 1 conf win this year)

Bama currently has 2 1aa teams on their schedule next year.

Wont stop the world wide leader from talking about how great they are. I mean... Ohio State 2007's schedule... pathetic... didn't deserve the BCS Champ game.. Weak.... YSU, for god's sake!...

I'm expected it to happen again in '14.

'12 and '13 are being called "bridge years" in conference schedule.
2014 is supposed to be 1st year with a permanent rotation set for conference games.
pretty sure Bama will coincidently get East cellar dwellers again to start the rotation.

WHAT???? I'm so fucking sick of hearing about how the Bucks played a weak schedule this year. Yet ESPN will continue to blow a soggy-biscuit wad over Bama when they blow out AA teams??? Teams need to be held accountable for their own schedule... somehow.

welcome to our world when dealing with Bama.
this is nothing new either.

2008-2013:
Bama's East opponents combined to co 40-85
LSU's combined to go 71-57

only once have they played 2 of the East powers (UF, UGA, USCe) in the same year.
We've done it 4 times, and even had the pleasure of facing all 3 in '08

Bama's toughest East schedule since Saban was hired? 2010. their East foes went 12-12 in conference that year. and coincedentally, that was Bama's worst season of the last 5.

that's right, Bama has yet to face an East slate with a winning record in conference since Saban got going.

Do we agree that if we're the only undefeated team and blow Michigan out, Notre Dame loses, and the SEC champ (Alabama/Georgia) loses in the BCSCG, that we should be #1 in the AP?

SHOULD - Absolutely
WOULD - I don't think Ohio State would get enough votes, even in your scenario. I believe too many voters wouldn't want a team that didn't go to a bowl game to be ranked in top 10. I am guessing some leave Ohio State off their ballots completely. Just a guess.

i agree this is probably what WOULD happen.

and personally, I think that's horseshit.
if a team is eligible in your poll, vote them as you would any other team in it.
if you don't want them to win it, make them ineligible like the coaches poll does.
