I actually don't see that as ludicrous. USU is not a bad team, and the Buckeyes are probably not as good as we'd like to think.

Sagarin's ratings are interesting for their inclusion of 1-AA schools. North Dakota State is the highest-ranked FCS team at 52; it will be interesting to see if they win the 1-AA championship.

I agree USU is not bad and the Buckeyes may not be the best undefeated team, but USU has exactly zero quality wins, and they've lost to Wisconsin and 5-4 BYU. The predictor loses any benefit of the doubt when it states that OSU is only 0.3 points better than Nebraska. Would you agree with that, or were you not paying attention on October 6?

Picking out one game as a basis of evaluation is always dangerous. Were you paying attention when we played an execrable Purdue squad? We were damn lucky to win that game.

Of course, as the 2002 Buckeyes showed, sometimes being "damn lucky" over and over again is evidence that maybe it's not just luck ...

I get the anti-SEC frustration and I overlook most of it - but this is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on Buckeye planet.

"GOOD DEFENSE DOESN'T FORCE TURNOVERS"


Outside of Mr. Teo' - Georgia has probably the best linebacker in America. Jarvis Jones - you should check him out sometime. Against Florida he had 13 tackles, 3 for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles.

If you don't have the opportunity to watch him play, you can tune into the NFL draft when he's picked in the top 5.

Now that everyone is back from suspension and playing at full speed (looking at Mssr Rambo and Ogletree) Georgia's defense is exceptional. We earned the win against our top rival Florida, nothing was gifted to us.

Maybe...but looking at the actual numbers:

Ohio State: 10-0 against the 55th ranked schedule, 2-0 vs. Top 30
Utah State: 8-2 against the 88th ranked schedule, 0-1 vs. Top 30

I bet Ohio State's margin of victory would be higher if we'd played Southern Utah, Utah, Wisconsin, Colorado State, UNLV, BYU, San Jose State, New Mexico State, UTSA and Texas State so far.

we had a linebacker to that against Florida too (Minter - 17 tackles, 3 for loss, 2 sacks, FF)

only our guy didn't let Latimore run for 100+ like y'all did.
