I remember when Coach Meyer was hired he said he'd try not to do everything and trust his assistant coaches more (than in the past).

I don't know if he can do that anymore, with the way the defense has been performing this season.

It's hard to build a team with a defense that forces you to score 40+ to win games.

That was a comment on the state of the defense, not the state of this thread, which is only a mirror of the state of the defense.

The state of the defense is partially a result of injuries, partially a result of bad luck with linebackers over the years, partially a result of other things. But it's hard to describe this defense without the words "dumpster" and "fire".

Fickell makes Heacock look genious like. Something needs to be done about this crap defense. I know we are thin at linebacker with borne getting all those snaps but still? Against IU? I knew I shouldn't have ordered pizza tonight.
