This guy for sure. The guy below:

Looks like a dude that would take a vacation on Aruba with his girlfriend and she would mysteriously have a "swimming accident"....

Tim Frazier wasn't going to win POY in the B1G, but he was more valuable to his team than anyone else. Losing him is a blow that PSU can't recover from. Now we have a legit competition for who is #12 in the Big Ten between PSU and Nebraska.

Illinois wins the Maui Invitational, beating Butler in the title game, 78-61. Butler had beaten North Carolina in the semis.

The Illini are 6-0 and shooting 41% from three as a team.

Michigan State has had to scrape by to win against Boise State and UL-Lafayette after the Gary Harris injury, so I don't expect them to win this week in the ACC-Big Ten challenge game at Miami. Not because the Hurricanes are particularly good, because they're probably going to be a bubble team, but because MSU is really struggling right now. Gary Harris is a huge part of MSU, and Izzo's team doesn't have the quality depth they have had in years past (such as 2009 and 2010). When he gets back they might be a top-25 team again, but they aren't legitimately one now.

Nebrasketball keeps rollin' as they beat the USC Trojans tonight.

Nerdwestern dropped a game against the UIC Flames this past weekend. And Purdon't lost to Xavier Satuday as well. Everything else went as expected.

7 games on the plate for tomorrow- 6 snoozers plus Baylor/NW'ern on ESPN.

The Baylor Bears pulled off the feat of going 1-1 in their last two games against Wildcats, one of which was the Kentucky Wildcats and the other being the Northwestern Wildcats. Although they oddly won on the road against Kentucky and just lost at home against Northwestern. For Northwestern, it was a sorely needed victory in light of their loss to UIC - I wouldn't put it on the same level as a few of the upset wins they've had in recent years, as they beat a great Purdue team in 2010 and great MSU teams a couple of times (I believe one in 2009 and also 2012), but Northwestern rarely goes on the road and beats a quality opponent. It was one of their best road wins in the past decade. The Baylor win at least puts them back in position where if they get a 9-9 or better Big Ten record and take care of business at home vs. Butler and Stanford then they will be in the mix for a tournament bid at the end of the year.

Iowa notched a good win at home tonight against rival Iowa State. It was a lively atmosphere at Carver Hawkeye Arena, and an up-tempo game with a lot of back and forth action. In short, it was a good example of why they hired Fran McCaffery and gave him a raise. Iowa is far from contending for the Big Ten title, but they have enough skilled players and depth to turn into a thorn in the side of the top teams this year if they play with toughness. I still am disappointed with how they played at Virginia Tech, although I have to give some credit to VT for having better shooters than I thought they had, but if Iowa turns up the heat defensively, they still have a chance at an NCAA tourney berth this season. They are relying on three true frosh, and as those guys get more experienced, they can only get better (provided the effort is there defensively).

I think the schedule worked out well for OSU this year, avoiding challenging road games vs. Iowa and Minnesota while also avoiding home games against RPI-weakeners in PSU and Purdue.

Brandon Paul of Illinois and Michigan State's Gary Harris are the Big Ten's weekly honorees in men's basketball, the conference announced this morning.

Paul, a senior guard, was named player of the week after he scored 35 points to help lead the Illini to an 85-74 road victory over Gonzaga. He was 10 of 16 from the field and made nine of his last 11 shots. Paul also made five three-pointers and was 10 of 11 from the free-throw line. He added four rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.

Harris is the freshman of the week in the Big Ten after he averaged 16.5 points in victories over Loyola (Ill.) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He shot 60 percent from the floor, including 55 percent from three-point range, in the two games.

Butler and Indiana going at it in Indy and the Hoosiers lead 37-33 at halftime. The second game of this DH is Notre Dame-Purdue.

I'd like to see BU and PU pull off wins.
