Evans was REALLY struggling with free throws, and you could tell it was weighing on him. This may look goofy, but it appears he's found something that works.

Damn right. For years I've wanted NBA players to alter their free-throw shooting style to whatever helps them shoot a higher percentage.

Doesn't matter if it's underhand or whatever.

But players won't due to an ego thing.

Jeff Svoboda ‏@JeffSvoboda If the Buckeyes win out, they'd need a few results to fall their way (IU/MSU losing at U-M, UW at MSU), but there is a plausible path

There's still a chance!

Nope. OSU entered the 2007 tourney #1. Florida was a #3 seed in 2006 (Duke was #1 in the last poll prior to the tourney).
Ohio State may have been #1 in the final poll in 2007, but Florida was the #1 overall seed in the tournament. I couldn't tell you the last time the #1 team in the poll won it though. UNC in 2009, UConn in 2004, Duke in 2001, MSU in 2000 off the top of my head are possibilities.

In 2009, Louisville was ranked #1 entering the tourney (also the #1 overall seed, but that's not what I was looking at really). In 2004, the #1 team was St Joseph's until they lost to Matta's Xavier team, and then Stanford took over #1 right before the NCAA tournament.

It does look like Duke in 2001 was #1, so that probably would be the last time before 2012 UK to be #1 ranked entering the tourney to win it all. BTW, Duke was also #1 entering the 2000 tournament. So since 2000, I believe there have been 2 teams ranked #1 entering the tournament to win it - which I'd say is a pretty low rate considering without knowing better I'd expect the #1 team in the rankings at the end of the season to be a semi-regular winner. 2 times in 13 years the #1 team wins the tourney - that's why it makes sense for Gonzaga to be #1 after all the conference games are over, most people don't think they're going to win it.

Purdue is the only B1G school with a winning record versus Bo Ryan (according to ESPN, anyway).

They just ruined Senior Day in Madison. :slappy:
