2011 TSUN shenanigans and arguments (off season)

Hate to say it, but I'm with Mike on this one. I'm happy to see any Buckeye drafted, but what means most to me is to see us win on Saturdays. Like I said LOVE to them get taken, but LOVE winning much more.
True. But FOUR first round picks and it becomes apparent why Saban won on Saturdays (and the 2009 BCSNC).

Four. That is so sick. Miami in the 80s sick. Hard not to have a correlation between multiple first round picks and being in the BCS hunt.

further proof that App State is better than people wanted to believe?

in reality though, for me, I really don't care about how many guys are drafted into the NFL. All I care about is winning on Saturday. That statistic does not mean much to me.

I actually thought App State would keep up with Michigan, so I'll agree with you there. But losing to them, that's still unacceptable. A good question is, would I have like to see Ohio State play them that season, and my simple answer is.... [censored] NO!

Nice try.

You guys lost to a 1-AA team.

at home.

How's that working out?

If I had a dime for every time a scUM fan brought up how many QB's they put in the NFL, back when they still put players in the NFL, I'd be rich. The naturally superior QB development system at scUM (that managed to develop Brady all the way into a 6th round draft choice) was brought up ad nauseam.

Now of course its just like the "Appy State was really good" bullshit, you guys don't care. :roll1:

Better than a typical I-AA team? Sure, quite a bit better. Better to the point of excusing The Horror? Nope.

It wasn't App St's greatness that forced Crable to forget how to block properly.

So is it App State's fault for being good? Or Michigan's fault for being dumbasses and scheduling the two time defending National Champion (D1-AA Champions, that is ). Granted, I know scheduling happens YEARS in advance but wasn't this a late add to the scheduling?

Appy State was good. They outplayed Michigan that day and to be honest they deserved to win. Counting that loss Michigan is 24-26 during that period with a loss to Toledo. The loss to Toledo was more embarrassing to me. We care, but most of us just look at it like Appy State, so what.....nothing we can do. Let's just move on. Look at Va Tech. Shit happens, just fuck it and move on.

and it was embarrassing, and there was no excuse for it. But they were a better team than people give them credit for.

not very well, obviously. But we haven't been that great even before when we were putting a lot of players into the NFL.

don't lump us all together. I can't help it if you know a bunch of moronic UM fans.

they were good, but they still shouldn't have won. like the other dude said, what can I do about it? bend over and let everyone take a turn, or not dwell on it. I think i'll take the latter.
