Movers And Shakers
As teams prepare for the 2010 season, the work never stops off the field, as coaches work to secure their 2011 recruiting classes. The summer was a heavy commitment period, and classes are starting to take shape.
Texas still has the top recruiting class in our latest rankings update, with Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State and LSU rounding out the top five. But the ACC featured three of the top movers. North Carolina jumped 11 spots to No. 11 thanks in large part to coach Butch Davis' emphasis on recruiting the offensive line. Clemson also rose considerably after adding two of the country's biggest offensive playmakers. Also, Virginia and coach Mike London hit the recruiting trail hard, and it paid off: The Cavaliers enter the Top 25 at No. 18.
Again, remember that things can and will change often, and this is just one step on the long road to national signing day on Feb. 2, 2011. There will be twists, turns and unexpected changes. But that's what makes this fun, right?
