The Buckeyes took 5th at the Great Lakes Regional and earned a trip to Nationals next Monday. A solid effort all around, but especially from Chris Fallon. Probably would have been in the running for 3rd with Jake Edwards in the lineup.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State men's cross country team received an at-large bid to the 2011 NCAA Cross Country Championships, the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced Sunday night.
The selection marks the 13th national championship appearance in program history for the Buckeyes, who are coming off of a fifth-place finish at the Great Lakes regional championships. Ohio State has now reached the championship race for the eighth time since 2000, which is third-most among Big Ten schools.
This marks the seventh trip to the NCAAs for the Buckeyes under head coach Robert Gary.
"I am very proud of our program," Gary said. "With the hundreds of teams at nationals, I don't think many people have an appreciation for just how hard it is to be one of the 31 teams. I have been very impressed with our depth of fitness and the character of our team this season. The team also responded superbly once we realized Jake Edwards was not going to make it back."
The NCAA championships will be held Monday, Nov. 21 in Terre Haute Ind., on the campus of Indiana State University.
