Yeah, there was no push at all. It was only the "right" call for the Canadians.

Ohno's not shy about voicing his displeasure.

I didn't see a push, but hard to argue that call. The hand was there, it was a desperation move, and the guy fell.

the canadian skater might have slipped on his own; however, there was a simultaneous appearance of a push. that is all that matters. that the judge was canadian doesn't help either.

I certainly don't mind these speed skaters putting their hands on one another. If they were to put a hand on my buttocks or waist, I wouldn't cry foul. The officials are just too sensitive.

If you put a hand on a guy's hip going through a turn like that, you can reasonably expect that he might fall and you might get DQed for it. There's a reason it was obvious what was going to happen with the call when we saw it in real time.

Ohno should be more upset that he had to make a risky move because he spent the entire race in last place. Shit happens in short track.

That was... anticlimactic. 40 laps, about 3 passes total and no real action until the last two laps.
