There are several upper classman who worked hard this off season. One of them was just named captain. Steve Schilling. You would have to ask them why nobody took Turner under their wing.

Schilling lost his voice screaming "look out!" years ago. Dudes a mute.

A three-star tackle that is rated #75 at his position. But he is from FLORIDA!!! which means that he is better than any higher rated player from the north. If Rodriguez keeps stealing USF and UCF recruits with southern speed they will be unstoppable!

Maybe Schilling can play corner too.

I'll be more specific...are there no upperclassmen in the secondary that thought they should step in and see that the 5 star DB frosh was doing the right things to possibly help the team this year?

If so, who? Woolfolk? Didn't he call out Tate in the media for not being around as much as D-rob?

To be clear I'm talking about the comment about Turner coming in 11 lbs heavy and not being in the weight room. Is this just hearsay or something concrete?

Personally I think tsun has talent but they're lacking leadership top to bottom starting with dickwad. Sure there are guys like Schilling that are leaders but the guy can't do it alone..and if there are more specifically on defense then they shoulder the blame for letting this crap go until August.

no argument here.

And I almost said the same thing about Woolfolk being the only upper classman secondary player.

Nonsense...

This should brighten the mood

Profile

Though, I guess if Florida offers, they become the instant leader... but.. alas, Florida hasn't offered.
Several Tampa guys worked out and met with Coach A a few months ago....I can imagine if he was told to lose some pounds for an offer and he could not, there may be some reluctance to offer. Dunno. We need some more OL and have wiffed on the ones we wanted so far. Curse of being seen as having depth at a position. We do, but that does not mean we will next year. :shake: Everybody is play me now.

There may be hope:

Boy, wouldn't that be a happy ending to this story. Hopefully something comes of it.

Just what you want.... a kid who wanted to be released forced to stay. That always works.

Edit: Sorry - Link
