Don't care. It isn't like turner was going to see the field anyway this season. He is fat, lazy, doesn't take every play seriously, and is a cancer. Addition by subtraction. I trust true freshman over turner, who is basically a tackling dummy.

I wish we could get rid of some of our 5 star recruits and open up some room. RR sure knows how to do it.

(They do know that they don't have a single 5 star recruit in this potentially "off the charts" class, don't they? Not a single player rated in the top 10 at their position.)

The poster didn't mention which way the class is "off the charts"...I'm guessing off the bottom. Or side to side.

when you come in 11 pounds heavier than you did at spring practice and you're considered a ghost in the weight room, my guess would be that it's not 11 pounds of muscle you showed up with.

We (i.e. OSU) can get away with that argument.

But not UM. Not after all the other kids who have left for one reason or another. Not after Boren.

At some point - at some point in your third full season as coach - you have to take accountability for your depth and not keep doing your Paul Lynde imitation of: "Kids - What's the matter with kids today?"

Maybe if there were something even remotely resembling leadership on the team: getting incoming frosh to participate in voluntary workouts and actually work in said workouts wouldn't be an issue. Are there no upperclassmen on the roster that thought they should take this kid under their wing and see that he's doing the right things? Or maybe those upperclassmen are just there for themselves and don't want to help out an underclassmen because it may equate to losing their spot on the depth chart to the younger guy.

I'll be curious to hear what Turner has to say about transferring. If he comes out and b's and moans about RR and this or that, then sure. But if was so miserable and didn't want to be there then why play through the spring and then hurt yourself by not working out with the rest of the team all summer?

Again, I'm just kind of speculating since Turner hasn't said anything.

There are several upper classman who worked hard this off season. One of them was just named captain. Steve Schilling. You would have to ask them why nobody took Turner under their wing.
