More bad news for RRod. He actually signed this Conway:

RichRod's brand o' football Up North most certainly could be a variation of Dorf on Football.

I'm very sure Ohio St won't let down on Michigan. We just aren't that good right now. Maybe when/if we get Jim Harbaugh, we can be competitive and start to win against you guys. As long as we have RR....I seriously doubt we will beat you guys.

I know this isn't the thread for this question, but since you said it over here, a) What makes you think Harbaugh wants the Michigan job? b) Didn't he burn some bridges with his comments on Michigan academics? Seems to me to be too much crow pie for both sides to eat happily to make it happen.

In all fairness to DickRod...who is he supposed to recruit?? The cat is so far out of the bag in regards to his system and lack of NFL development, who can he recruit??

Borderline qualifiiers and recruits who aren't getting looks from NFL factories...

Enough said.

After the foul taste RRod has left in most M*ch*g*nder's mouths, I doubt if they would notice (or mind) if they were being
fed cow pies, as long as they get him gone.

have to agree with Yokel. While I am not a fan of Harbaugh, if this year is another disaster, he would be welcomed back.....LOL. that's assuming he shows me something one more time at Stanford. I'm still not convinced he's the world beater people make him out to be.

The beauty of the Harbaugh discussion is the 800lb gorilla in the room that no one up north wants to mention.

What happens if the next hire is anything less than spectacular? Look no farther than our friends in South Bend to see how successive bad coaching hires can easily earn a program 10-15 years off the NC contender stage.

Whoever the next coach is, if you fire RR after 3 years the next guy is there for 5-7 minimum no matter how good, bad or indifferent he may be. Think about that and remember the triumvirate of Davie, Willingham and Weis. If it can happen to them it can happen to tsun.

No pressure on the pizza guy or anything right?

This is what makes me laugh at UM fans--RR has completely sent the program into the tank (in 2009, 1-7 Big Ten record and exactly one win (over a I-AA team, no less) after September, and in 2008, a 3-9 record), and yet they're still willing to give him another chance; yet when it comes to Harbaugh, he still has to show them something, despite the fact that he's already made a very good football program at an elite academic institution.

Unreal.

UM isn't going to fire him right now so there's the reason of "another chance."

I didn't say JH wasn't a good coach. I said i'm not convinced he's the greatest thing since sliced bread which is what the JH backers have christened him.

like I said, I want to see what he does this year.

He may not be "the greatest thing since sliced bread" but he's a solid coach and recruiter who has had two good seasons at a school not exactly known as a perennial football power, and he cares about his alma mater (thus his public remarks critical of current academics within the Michigan football program).
