Like I said Simon is better than Cambell right now, but Will imo has a higher ceiling than Simon. I think Will is going to be a big time player by the end of this year. This is in no way a knock on big John because obvioulsy he is very talented, but I think Campbell is going to be the better player when it's all said and done.

just because a player has a "high ceiling" doesnt mean he will achieve it.......

not saying Campbell wont, but you cant just assume it

I agree whole heartedly, but I like the things I have heard this spring and I feel pretty confident that Big Will is going to pan out.

Based on what?

Recruiting hype I guess.

Two different 5* DT's come out of HS, one forces his way into significant PT on one of the best DL's in the country. The other can't get on the field for one of the worst defenses in the country....but the kid who couldn't get PT as a frosh will be the better player eventually.

Whatever. They are also fond of pointing out how much more advanced QB savior X is at this stage in his career than Pryor.

I won't bust your balls because you think that Campbell will eventually be better than Simon. I disagree, but you're welcome to your opinion. At least you didn't try to dodge the obvious fact that, right now, John Simon is much, much better. Kudos to you for that.

Right now he is not, but by the time Campbell leaves he will be no matter who our coach is.

Disagree. Read about Simon's work ethic. Also take into account when he commited to the Buckeye's and what his national ranking was as a junior. Then read about his injury as a senior. All of the pieces then become clear.

Rule#1. Only their kids get better, everyone else stays the same or gets worse.

See OMG BARWIS!!11!!! for proof of concept.

Will Campbell was being recruited as an offensive guard by Miami and LSU, that I know of.

He isn't built like a natural at the position- his body weight is distributed vertically more than horizontally. I think he can be a good DT, but he is going to have to earn it.

They lost most of what defense they had and Robinson figured in 4 td's. Tater could be out.
D could be a real problem for them again this year.

Yea real surprising to see that much scoring, I mean offenses tend to be at a disadvantage in spring games it seems because the units get mixed up and the timing is off. I mean just watching our spring games for instance drives aren't often sustained (I realize we play pretty damn good defense here but still). Usually the scoring tends to be the result of guys just getting beat deep (2 deep balls from Pryor for scores last year, Bauserman hit a deep ball or 2 the year before that as I recall)

Did Michigan keep their offensive units together or something?

Yes, it looks that way. I believe those 4 TDs came with the full 1st string offense against the full 2nd string defense.
