2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

Ironic shot, especially if this was the injury...

What was up with the excessive celebration calls for flashing the O's to the student section? Thought those were shit, as well as the holding call on Sanz on Booms 98 yard run (I can understand why it was called due to the way they both went down) but man oh man, keep that flag in your pocket.

At the end of the day, our tailgate made the front page of the Sunday dispatch, we beat M*ch*g*n (I grew up during the 90's - who would have ever thought we would beat those fuckers 9 out of 10 times?), and the Buckeyes have set themselves up for another BCS game..

It will be a sad day when Jim Tressel hangs up his vest. Enjoy it while it lasts, 3 yards and a cloud of win.. I love it. Love these Buckeyes, love this town, love this website.

Go Bucks. Flush twice.

someone brought up a good point, if they didn't want the players showing the "O" to the crowd, why did they give them gloves that had it on them? I saw Bama players do it several times during the Iron Bowl with no flags.
Oregon does it all the time without penalties. It was all about an officiating crew over-interpreting a rule to gain some notoriety.

This is also the second year of those decorations. There is zero excuse for a reffing crew blindsiding a team with those flags.

If the refs or NCAA do not want them to flash them, it is quite simple to inform the squads before the game, if not in the weeks/months preceding when they first surfaced.

Especially since, according to the broadcast, they weren't notified what the penalty was until the second time they got flagged for it.

The funny part was when Cam Heyward got blasted to the ground after the whistle, then jumped on, then pushed the camera showed JT. You could see him make the O symbol then point on the field. I'm not the best lipreader but one could assume he said something to the effect of...."you call us making an O with our hands but you don't call that?"

The SEC lets more stuff go in games that any other major conference in my IMO. No targeting calls, blatant personal fouls on quarterbacks that aren't called, taunting and celebrating. It would be nice if officiating was consistent but it isn't.

At least the SEC has really cracked down on teams like Mississippi St and enforced that "no artificial noise makers, cowbells, etc ..." policy.

I saw 5 or 6 blatant lead with the helmet spears in the Iron Bowl that weren't called.
