SEC fans typically get riled up when fans of teams from opposing conferences point to their weak OOC schedule and fear of travelling.
This year, the SEC once again strikes out with yet another challenging OOC schedule. OK, I jest, but they do add a few Big Ten teams this year at home to spruce up their OOC schedules.
Travelling away from home
Here is the entire 2010 SEC OOC schedule list of games played away from home (count'em folks):
Week 1: Kentucky at Louisville, LSU at North Carolina
Week 2: Miss at Tulane
Week 3: Alabama at Duke
Week 4: Miss St at Houston
Other weeks: Arkansas at Texas A&M, South Carolina at Clemson, Vanderbilt at UConn, Vanderbilt at Eastern Michigan
That trip in Week 1 is guaranteed to put Kentucky under real pressure.
OOC at home
Give credit where its due, Alabama plays Penn State at home this year and away next year. Otherwise, unless open slots get filled with return games, these tougher opponents won't be seeing their team travel north.
Alabama: San Jose State, Penn State, Georgia State
Auburn: Arkansas State, Clemson, Lousiana Monroe, Chattanooga
Arkansas: Tenness Tech, Louisiana Monroe, UTEP
Florida: Miami (Ohio), South Florida, Appalach. State
Georgia: Louisiana Lafayette, Colorado, Idaho State, Georgia Tech
Kentucky: Western Kentucky, Akron
LSU: W Va, McNeese State, Louisiana Monroe
Miss State: Memphis, Alcorn St, UAB
Miss: Jacksonville State, Fresno State, Louisiana Lafayette
SC: Furman, Troy
Tennessee: UT-Martin, Oregon, UAB
Vanderbilt: Northwestern, Wake Forest

Big Ten teams travel further and seem to play better opponents but they also have their scrimmage games on the OOC. The Buckeyes don't leave Columbus this year during OOC schedule. Discuss.
