Here's a Ohio State 2009 Defense Highlight video
YouTube - Ohio State Defense 2009

From what I can see, you guys have a really big/strong front four, and a really opportunistic secondary. And since you guys are Linebacker U. in the midwest, I don't even have to mention how good the LB's are.

It looks like your defense lives up to the hype, but it's also hard to tell how they will match up against our offense. Looking at the highlight video, I really don't see any team that is that similar to us, or has the spread-specific personnel that we have. Just because Michigan and Illinois run the spread, doesn't mean they run the spread like we do, or as well as we do.... just like saying "Washington runs a Pro-Style offense with a mobile QB", but that doesn't mean they run it as well, or have the talent that Ohio State does, see what i'm saying?

It's going to be interesting. Our team, as a whole, is small and fast. Your team, is a lot bigger and stronger. I don't see us scoring that much in the first half, but i'm hoping in the second half we will be able to wear your defense down and start to unload.

Only 2 weeks away !!!

That's a great video! Nothing pumps me up more than a dominating defense. Illinois runs a very similar offense to Oregon, but you a right in saying they don't run it nearly as well so this will be a great challenge both for Ohio State's defense and Oregon's offense. I can't wait for the game.

Gotta hold on to the ball. Tresselball the fuck out of these guys. The less plays Oregon runs, the better the chance to win.

I think you gotta keep their offense off the field and try to collapse the pocket to keep Masoli from moving outside the pocket. He's less effective when he can't move around. Our Dline is more than capable of this.

GO BUCKEYES!! Let's do it.

It sounds like Ray Small broke another team rule, and will likely sit out the Rose Bowl.

It's making us Oregon fans upset as well....

If we beat OSU: It won't be as meaningful because the Buckeyes would have been depleted at WR.

If we lose to OSU: We lost to a team that was missing two of their best WR's.

I thought Flash was ahead of T-Wash on the depth chart? T-Wash hasn't been able to translate it from practice to the game, color me skeptical about his being able to translate it to the Rose Bowl

TWASH = Split end

FLASH = Slot/Flanker

So Duron's absence provides Twash the opportunity...Small's absence will provide Flash's opportunity. I believe that Taurian and Flash can make positive impacts. The talent is definitely there. Practicing like starters for a few weeks certainly won't hurt. This is their golden opportunity.
