Stayed away from the site in fear of a long or short term banning when i dont like what's happening on the turf. All in all a great game, TP made some good strides to be the player I-we want him to be. He still needs to learn how to save some yards and throw the ball away some times (IMO his worst flaw) I also think he needs to no second guess some of his runs. But I still saw A TON of improvement tonight from him. I think JT helped him out a lot letting him throw the ball and not run run then 3rd and have to throw. TP Looked realy good, and that made it for me. GREAT GAME, GREAT WIN and GREAT PLAY CALLING. hopefully more wil continue next year with JT and TP meshing to get this team to have more offensive explosion. SOOOO HAPPY. Gonna order me a shirt tonight or tomorrow :)

Bingo. Been busy this month and haven't been posting much, but everytime I turned on the tube or read articles online I was wondering where the credit for OSU's D-Line was.

OSU's rotation is deep with beasts on both sides of the ball now. Funny how good line play makes OSU QBs look like Heisman Trophy candidates and JT a genius, while poor line play makes JT look like a buffoon and the entire team a bunch of sloths spinning their wheels in mud.

This team is going to be sick next year. One blown 4th Q series from stopping SC and a total implosion of apathy against Purdue from being an undefeated team. Sometimes bad games are good. Hopefully this squad grows from this year like the '04 team was able to blossom into the teams we saw from '05-'07.

Today, against a team that was averaging 424.7 yards per game... the Bucks gave up 260. They not only held Oregon below their season average, they held him below the defense's average for the season.

TP and the offense played well, but hats off to Heacock, Fickell, and the rest of the defensive brain trust for a brilliant gameplan and to the "no-name" defense for executing it excellently.

As well as our defense played, the offense had just as much to do with Oregon's meager output. Third down conversions and holding on to the ball for 2/3 of the game were HUUUUGE.

Ohio State - 23:52/Purdue - 36:08

...and now:

Ohio State - 41:37/Oregon - 18:23

That's quite a turnaround. THEN, the offense really put a good defense in some bad spots by not being able to move the chains and sustain drives. NOW they're able to do that, put points on the board and keep the defense fresh and in good positions most of the time. That was huge tonight against a team whose tempo and skill really tested the Ohio State defense's ability to avoid mental and physical fatigue.

BTN just aired an interview with Cam with Glen Mason standing to his left like Mason had just won the Rose Bowl. Of course, vicariously as an OSU alum, Mason did just win the Rose Bowl, but I think he thinks he just coached the team.

Another good exchange on BTN between Mason and JT. Mason says, "Man, you come out here like Air-Tressel! Buckeye fans are going to be expecting this every game next year!" to which JT responds to the effect, "Enjoy this gameplan, it was just for this game."
