2010 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

I think Jamel Turner going from No. 30 to out of the Rivals 100, just due to off-the-field issues (as Rivals says), should be a strong wake-up call. Couple this with other people reaching out to the kid to straighten up.

Nice to see Smith and Norwell staying strong.

They wanna talk off the field issues, and they put LaTwan Anderson at 35....Rivals loves to boost guys off of camps. While I think Prater is a good player, he is pretty stiff IMO...

Agreed, good player and he coud very well be a top 100 type guy. But I don't see a top 5 overall #1 reciever in Prater. I watched his first film this spring when there seemed to be mutural intrest with tOSU, and I just didn't see it.

Didn't Anderson get booted from Lakewood for fighting?

Whatever. I'm more worried about Turner actually getting into OSU than I am where he's ranked in the Rivals 100. We all know he's a stud...hopefully he gets his **** together at Valley Forge.

Prater has dominated at every camp and 7 on 7 he's been to, and impressed every talent evaluator who has seen him. Bill Greene LOVES him, and says there is only one receiver at OSU (Posey) who he would take over Prater. That's good enough for me...

You have Ambles on that list as well, who is a longshot to go anywhere without a stop to a junior college. They should have waited on Turner...he is a top 50 player nationally, plain and simple. Also, I hope they go see Norwell in person and if they do, I see a Mike Adams-esque jump. He is just simply a treat to watch in person and is your ideal RT prospect. Also, I think Floyd is the best DT in the country, though he is likely more in the 20-30 range imo. In any event, I wish we would have attempted to throw our hat in the ring for Floyd.

Just look at the their D-line recruits so far. 4/5* Garrison Smith, 4* Dexter Morant, 4* Jalen Fields. They'll probably add 4* TJ Stripling and Jeffrey Whitaker, too. We're lucky to amass that kind of talent in a 2 or 3 year basis, and they do it EVERY year. Just sick...

No joke and their offensive recruiting is even more impressive...if they don't experience too much attrition, I would be surprised if they didn't emerge as the powerhouse in the SEC.

no disrespect to our resident UGA poster but I'll believe this when I see it. They'll still lose at least 3 games this year, IMO

Back to Garrison, Good luck in Athens

Easy on the peerless labels. This is not a new thing for Georgia. They've been underachieving for years with this kind of talent.

Congratulations to Garrison. Kid should be a great one for UGA.

It would be interesting to know exactly what role Willie Martinez has in bringing in these top talents, like Mr. Smith, because it seems another year like last for their defense and Mark Richt may not be able to stick by his man.

While I love Bill Greene and his Info, I do disagree with some of his opinions. Like that one. I would take a guy like Duron Carter all day, every day over Prater. Same size, but Carter is faster and more polished. Duron was in the 90's on the Rivals 100, and Prater is 4. This just go's to show how weak this class as a whole is....

Eh...I feel they may have been similar in rankings but I just feel they have got more legit talent the last couple years.

I was unaware of Bill Greene's love for this kid, but I am not saying he is a bad player at all. From his film he uses his hands well to catch the ball, and seems impossible to tackle. Can't personally tell much of his route running skills but from what I've read they've been evident at camps. But I don't think he would have been a top 5 guy in the '08 or '09 class at WR let alone overall. Good player, don't know why tOSU is not after him, but not top 5.
