2010 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Rivals mentioned on their national board that Jamel Turner will be a part of Pennsylvania's state rankings when they are updated later this month.

There was a mention on Duane Long's site about Turner possibly heading to a prep school.

Chris Dunkley

I am saying we have 7, not 8 verbals, as news from a solid Youngstown source on Bucknuts, Ytown11, says Turner is going to an out of state prep school. That takes him completely off my board for now but could be the thing that gets him back on permanently.

Really a down year for top talent in Ohio...We saw the top couple studs, but the drop off after that is pretty significant...

I only count 10 offers..1 to a kicker...that is pretty low for Ohio especially when we lose out on a couple guys like Welch and Hendrix...

Surprised some guys aren't on this list...Anderson, Donnal, Schoefner, and there are others that I would put in the top 20 that aren't on there...

Georgia is amassing enough talent to be the team to beat in the SEC, maybe nationally. They are getting good players, but good people and students as well. Good luck to Garrison at Georgia.

Just look at the their D-line recruits so far. 4/5* Garrison Smith, 4* Dexter Morant, 4* Jalen Fields. They'll probably add 4* TJ Stripling and Jeffrey Whitaker, too. We're lucky to amass that kind of talent in a 2 or 3 year basis, and they do it EVERY year. Just sick...

Miami Herald Preseason Broward Top 25

1. Lamarcus Joyner, CB/WR, 5-8, 175, St. Thomas Aquinas: After watching him dominate as a sophomore and junior for Southwest Miami, this gifted football talent will spend his final season playing a key role for the defending national champions.

2. Brandon Linder, OT, 6-6, 280, St. Thomas Aquinas: From the first time we watched him play as a sophomore, it was easily to tell that this was going to be a national recruit. His quickness, strength, knowledge of the entire line of scrimmage and work ethic puts him in a unique class.

4. Ivan McCartney, WR, 6-2, 175, Miramar: They call him ?sticks? because of his slender build. Has tremendous hands, runs great patterns and has the ability to catch the ball against anyone. Was the catalyst in the Patriots? run last year in the playoffs, and is expected to do much of the same in 2009!

5. Cody Riggs, CB, 5-9, 170, St. Thomas Aquinas: His football instincts combined with his impressive speed makes this a player who will be a huge get for any collegiate secondary. He rarely lets someone get behind him and has the ability to also break on the ball and make a play at anytime.

7. Tony Grimes, CB, 6-0, 170, Hollywood Hills: A three year starter who has been playing at a high level since he hit the football field for the Spartans, this gifted athlete has been working his way up the charts ? quickly. While he may eventually end up at a safety position, his cover skills are impressive without the impressive speed that some colleges are fooled by.

Dropping Jamel Turner for off the field issues is nonsense...The kid is a top 20 player easy...And last year I didn't see them dropping Bryce Brown because of his 'issues'....Laughable is all I have to say...

Prater at 4 is a reach IMO...

Shariff Floyd from 91 to 9 and Latwan Anderson from 74 to 35 are pretty big reaches as well...

Rivals, moreso than Scout, tends to overreact to things and jump guys willy-nilly like that...
