Kiper on Buckeyes in the draft...

Andrew (Cincy, OH)
Mel, how does this years class of Buckeyes fair in the upcoming draft?
Mel Kiper (1:10 PM)

Gibson decided to come out. He's a very good combo DE/OLB. He's shown that he can get after the QB. Their TE is a late round guy. Cordle could be a middle round guy. Doug Worthington, tall, rangy DT could be a rotation guy. Spitler, MLB, has a chance to be a draftable guy. Secondary wise, the guy to watch out for is Kurt Coleman. Anderson Russell is a draftable guy. Their kicker Aaron Pettrey has a chance to come to camp as a kicker.

If the Brown's can't get Berry, which I doubt they will, I'd take Coleman if he is there in the 3rd. I'd also like to give Ballard a shot with one of their many late round picks. Hopefully MH realizes that Browns fans like having local guys. Of course if the reports of the low ball offer to Cribbs are true we might be in trouble.

Seriously, he was a huge disappointment this year.

With Locker returning, McCoy's stock down, Tebow behind him and Bradford's injury concerns, I'm sure Jevan sees a big opportunity there.

He struggled mightily this year, took a step back, but I'd be shocked if he didn't showcase extremely well.

There is also the possibility of a rookie salary cap being implemented if there is not a lockout in 2011. That is one of the things that the owners want so a lot of guys who are on the fence might come out early this year if they are thinking about money:)

USC WR Williams to NFL; Carroll to follow?
By GREG BEACHAM AP Sports Writer

LOS ANGELES?Receiver Damian Williams is the latest to leave the troubled Southern California football program, announcing he's skipping his senior season to enter the NFL draft.

The Trojans' news release announcing Williams' departure Friday night didn't include any comment from coach Pete Carroll, who's apparently closing in on a lavish deal to take over the Seattle Seahawks.
