5 topics to watch: 2010 Senior Bowl preview.

Ohio State center Jim Cordle hoping to get a long look from N.F.L. scouts.

Florida cornerback Joe Haden has been ahead of his peers physically due to rigorous training by his father.

Southern California running back Stafon Johnson has made a dramatic recovery from a crushed larynx to return to the football field.
Heaviest & Largest Hands: Terrance Cody, Alabama: 370, 11 1/4".
:yow1:
5 Players that may have hurt their stock:

DT Terrence Cody, Alabama: 6'4", 370: Sloppy, will have to turn it around by combine.

OT Ciron Black, LSU: 6'4" 331: Could have been in better shape.

DT Jeff Owens, Georgia: 6'1" 304: Undersized, sloppy.

QB Tim Tebow, Florida: 6'2 1/2" 236: Average appearance, a little short.

LB Antonio Coleman, Auburn: Good shape but lost 1.5" on listed height.

DD.comment: In years past there were players who did not impress at the weigh-ins but played great between the lines; it is realistic to expect that type of performance from these 5 players. Off to Fairhope and South practice this afternoon.

Senior Bowl weigh-in results and analysis | National Football Post
Kurt Coleman 5100 187 lbs 29 3/8" arms 9 1/8" hands

Brandon Graham 6100 263 lbs 30 1/2" arms 9 7/8" hands

5100 = 5' 10.0"
Brandon Graham is the exact same weight and only one inch smaller than he was listed as a Wolverine, but NFL teams want their pass rushers to be at least 6'2". It's one of the main reasons Everette Brown fell to the second round in 2009. Graham also possesses some of the shorter arms (30 1/2) in Mobile.
Florida quarterback Tim Tebow measured in at just under 6-3, but looked a bit leaner through his upper body at only 236 pounds. Tebow was listed on the Florida roster all season at 245 pounds, but he appears to be trying to lose some bulk through his chest and shoulders in order to increase flexibility.
Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount appeared to be in very good shape, even at 245 pounds.
Cincinnati wide receiver Mardy Gilyard looked frail and undersized weighing in at only 179 pounds.
Finally, at nearly 6-8 and only 305 pounds, is it any wonder why Notre Dame offensive tackle Sam Young struggles to anchor on contact? He looked really thin through the lower half and has a frame that lacks bulk throughout.

Draft Daddy: Blog
Ole Miss RB #22 Dexter McCluster played like a star today. He exploded through the line and was able to exploit tiny holes for big gains. Easy to imagine him doing the same at the next level.

Florida QB #15 Tim Tebow had an up-and-down session. Pro: play-action fake leading to connection with Ole Miss WR #3 Shay Hodge during 9-on-7's. Cons: trouble with center exchange, a long windup and inaccuracy.

Southern California OC #53 Jeff Byers was a technician in drills, displaying top footwork. Defenders were seen cutting back in line to find more favorable matchups in "The Pit."

Draft Daddy: Blog
Wisconsin tight end #89 Garrett Graham continued to make plays; Graham endured a huge hit from Nebraska defensive back #27 Larry Asante, but it was Asante who ended up on the ground as Graham took it to the house.

Ohio wide receiver #23 Taylor Price climbed the ladder for a high ball and has been impressing many evaluators here with his speed and hands.

Penn State defensive tackle #91 Jared Odrick had a great day, exploding through the line. His talent cannot be questioned, but he needs to work on being consistant.
West Virginia quarterback #16 Jarrett Brown has the livest arm in town, throwing a crisp spiral. If he can improve his accuracy, he has potential.

Ole Miss running back #22 Dexter McCluster continued to impress; his sharp route running, explosion, and acceleration all adds up to a game-breaking threat.

Southern California running back #13 Stefon Johnson was polished as a receiver, making sharp cuts. When running the ball, his vision, cut-back ability, and power are all excellent.

Florida State safety #4 Myron Rolle looked free of rust from his year away from the game. Rolle can change directions with ease and deliver big hits.
Florida quarterback Tim Tebow reportedly is battling a severe fever and strep throat while in Mobile.

Related link: Tebow was reportedly hospitalized Monday evening.
Ohio wide receiver #23 Taylor Price shows great football speed and can provide legit deep threat.

Wisconsin tight end #89 Garrett Graham and Oregon tight end #83 Ed Dickson were reliable targets with good hands and yard after catch ability. Dickson is a natural end, but at 234, Graham might be an h-back type unless he gains weight.

Michigan defensive end #55 Brandon Graham put on a clinic; makes rushing the passer look easy.

How many Buckeyes get drafted: I got 3 Gibson, Coleman, and Worthington. Without and outside shot of Spitler and Pettrey getting drafted.

I think we'll be pleasantly surprised with more than this. I don't think it's the homer in me but:

I think Cordle gets taken late b/c of his versatility. He can provide depth anywhere on the line including center and extremely intelligent.

I think Pettrey has a decent shot of being taken late as a kick-off specialist. Lot's of emphasis on kick-coverage these days, and more and more teams are going to a 2 kicker philosophy. One for FG's one for the deep kick-off with hang-time.

I can see Ballard getting taken late. NFL teams, I'm sure recognize our system isn't built to get the TE the ball. I think Ballard can be every bit as productive as Ben Hartsock wo has had a productive career. If Ballard hadn't pulled his hamstring for pro-day, I'd say it would have almost been a guarantee. As it is, maybe he gets picked up as a Rookie-Free Agent but I still think he's a late pick.

Spitler has had a lot of buzz on him since his pro-day and he played behind Laurinitis who put up huge numbers last year. Think Austin gets taken in the 6th or so.

It'd be nice to see Anderson get a shot at a Rookie-Free Agent camp. I'm sure he'll get a look somewhere.

Mel Kiper's about to come to blows with McShay over Clausen. :slappy:

His love for the pickle is creepy as hell.

Also, if I never hear that fucking 'Empire State of Mind' song after the draft, that would be great. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. :bonk:
