I was referring to the "best season ever" claim. But, leading the nation in rushing doesn't win you games. TP could have 20 yards every week, but if he scores 4 TDs, that's fine. TDs > yards. Period.
And Denard threw three picks in the biggest game of his career, as someone else said. If he keeps doing that against solid defenses, I don't care how many yards he has. He was part of the reason they lost against MSU. Heisman winners don't take part in losses. They win.
I would argue 19 tds playing QB for a top 5 team and blowing most every one out is much much less impressive then having 17 tds while playing in close games. Its just a matter of opinion.
Obviously he can't throw 3 picks every week. IMO if he leads the nation in rushing its a 1000% lock and it will be one of the widest margins ever.
Even if he gets 1800 rushing yards but doesn't lead the nation and his passing yards are above average(they are well above average now) he is a 99% lock.
