:evil:We need to slap the h$ll out of Purdue come Jan. Their fans are unreal. Just read their comment section for Amir on ESPN blog or go to any of their fan sites with a post about Amir or the tOSU/FU game; its crazy. For some reason they think their basketball team and especially coach is above and beyond tOSU and Matta.

Reading their post (I know my fault) you would of thought they were on back to back NC's or something. They remind me of Penn St/TSUN fans in football (yup that out of touch w/ reality). :pissed:

I think our scheduling similarities with UF is odd. They played NC Wilm for their first game, and we played NC A&T. We played eachother then they played A&T and we played NCW. They play Morehead, then we play them. They play FSU on 11-28, and we play FSU on 11-30....weird....

It's apart of the World Basketball Classic or something, thats why the similarities. We will be doing it again next year, but I think it will be a diffirent set of teams(the small schools).

I've always said UNC under Williams struggle badly when they are slowed down, and now allowed to get out on the break. It wasn't as big as a weakness when they had tough inside guys like TH and Sean May. UNCs big a very soft.

Morehead State's Kenneth Faried shines in losing effort against Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida coach Billy Donovan felt like he was watching an NBA game on Sunday afternoon.

He definitely believes he was watching an NBA player, anyway. Unfortunately, it wasn't one of his own.

The Gators (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 9 AP) escaped Morehead State's upset bid with a 61-55 victory at the O'Connell Center, but Donovan couldn't stop talking about what Kenneth Faried did against Florida's front court.

Faried scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds -- including 14 in the second half -- and nearly got the Eagles their third victory in 26 tries against a Southeastern Conference team.

"That's Dennis Rodman all over again," Donovan said. "If I was an NBA general manager I'd be taking him with my pick. That's what a next-level guy looks like. He just totally destroyed our frontcourt. ... That was definitely an incredible performance by a terrific player."

Preseason, I know Morehead was one of the few in discussion for being our toughest non-conference non-BCS games. Proved that tonight.

Oakland was in that discussion too, but they got smoked tonight by a Hummel-less Purdue team.

Wow. I absolutely love watching this team play. I watched the recording of the UNCW game this morning and, wow. Sooooo many scorers. So many guys on the bench that can come in and blow it up. Thomas, Sibert and even Smith last night had very good games off the bench. Weatherspoon is probably going to be the 10th man, and he might be the most athletic player on the whole team! Crazy. Love this team.

Great parity going on everywhere else in basketball is giving me unrealistic hopes I fear though. Must contain thoughts of a UCLA-like season. Woohoo
