This is not directed at the poster I quoted but...

Thats a crock of [censored]ing bull[Mark May] about the injury!!!! This is why you have the preseason junk schedule!!! Get all these young players some playing time. I'll add another thought...WHY IN THE HELL HAS sTOKES NOT GOTTEN MORE PT!!!!

Foster IMO was sleeping at the wheel. They finally told Sammy to stop shooting!!! When she stops shooting and start distributing theres no team in the conference that can beat us. If she passes like she did in the 2nd half we run the table hands down...

Adams and Stokes have impressed the hell out of me. The other freshmen Sanders looks very good. They play like they did last night they can make a finbal 4 but Sammy has to play like she did in the 2nd half.

No offense taken - but Adams wasn't cleared to play for quite awhile and couldn't get into a few of those "junk games" - I don't think she was available at all until early-mid-December. Stokes was out too with mono-like symptoms. Both of them look like they will play big roles the rest of the way.

If she took that long to recover she had more than a scope. I have had them before. I MISSED ONE GAME...playing football. If
she wasn't cleared for that long she had something a little more than a little cleaning.

Outlook brightens for Buckeyes
Addition of Adams, renewal of focus lead to winning streak
Thursday, January 27, 2011
By Jim Massie
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Lately, a different aura seems to surround the Ohio State women's basketball team.

Wins can change the feel of a team, and the 23rd-ranked Buckeyes have collected three in a row, including upsets of Michigan State and Iowa that have revived hopes that a seventh consecutive Big Ten championship is not as far-fetched as it seemed two weeks ago.

Ohio State (13-6, 4-3) also looks decidedly different with freshman post player Ashley Adams moving into the starting lineup for injured co-captain Sarah Schulze.

Adams played her first significant minutes of the season in a 71-62 win Thursday at Illinois and dazzled. She turned in an equally solid performance Sunday in a 81-67 win over then-No.18 Iowa and earned a freshman of the week award from the conference.

The new face in the lineup and the winning streak, however, don't explain the difference in the Buckeyes, who play Michigan (12-7, 5-2) tonight in Value City Arena.

The Wolverines jumped to a 24-4 lead over Ohio State in the conference opener for both teams on Dec.30 and breezed to a 64-51 win. It was the third straight loss for the Buckeyes and only the middle of the nightmare.

"We were in a bad spot for a little bit," point guard Samantha Prahalis said. "We just played terrible. We had the effort, but we weren't clicking. We're in better sync now. We're tougher."

Some of the worst basketball coaching ever!!! Foster is lost.

We led by 13 at half and then lose by 2. They kept forcing it to Lavender. Turnover after turnover. That coach had Allison Jackson in the game late. A 50% free throw shooter. Why in the did he not play Adams more. I don't want to hear about match-ups because she presented a horrible one fore Michigan. When you the better team your determine the pace and style...this guy is flippin lost. What a waste of talent.

Pretty much summed up my thoughts as well. Adams would have owned the boards. And what was with him coming out with a zone? Really? SMH

The zone threw me as well. He basically allowed them lots of easy looks with that strategy. Although I think he did it to protect Adams. She's big but doesnt seem overly athletic.

We didn't execute the zone very well at times either. We were late on rotations and when we were in position we gave the jump shooter wayyyyy to much space. Not a good combo.

Also, congrats to Sammy Prahalis for setting a new career assists mark for Ohio State. (as a junior!)

I love watching Samantha play. She's more intense than most guys and absolutely fearless.

The Lady Bucks are back at the scene of the crime taking on the Boilers on ESPN2 right now.

Down double digits in the second half the Lady Bucks fought back to win it 76-74! :banger:

Brittany Johnson drained a three with 1 second left to win it. She had 5 bombs in the second half.
