I didn't see this thread and I suppose some early posters would like a mulligan. When I looked at the bowl lineup, I thought the Big Ten had a chance to run the table. Florida (Meyer's last game but maybe Joe Pa's too, God may have different plans), Texas Tech (no Persa, no offense?), and possibly Arkansas (if a distracted, demotivated OSU shows up and gets down early) seem to be the most likely losses.

As for Ohio State, I think that the Buckeyes will show up emotionally high but having had insufficient focus preparing for this game. Still, I think that they could pull together and win by more than 14 points.

The only game I figured the B10 had a chance on was Wiscy. Big Ten mostly sucks.

The Big Ten should have oversigned by a few teams when they expanded. That way we could cut the entire state of Michigan this offseason.

I think 4-4 would be a good result, all things considered, but 2-6 may be more likely.

Living in SEC country, I have been trying to defend the Big Ten for the past 6,7,8+ years, well i'm through. I am just gonna suck it up and agree with these cocky SEC fans.....Pitiful!!!

I think the Big Ten has some of the greatest traditions but as far as being competitive i think we are far from being the best...I love the Big Ten but its obvious to me that the SEC is the most talented and competitive conference.

I think its part recruiting but also part coaching, even the guys we do have, just dont seem to play with the same fire or hunger. I dont think it has anything to do with speed, just intensity.

Hopfully the Bucks come out and play with great passion and we at least have a competitive battle. Props to Penn State for duking it out with Florida, almost came away with that one.

sadly I agree, i've been doing some pretty hard ranting against the big 10 with some of my friends...but..

we are not even close to being the worse conf like some think (acc big east are def worse)

That's the part that bugs me. We play the best conferences, in terms of perception, in almost all of our bowls while crap conferences like the Big East and ACC don't get anywhere near the scorn. If those clowns played the bowls we played they'd be lucky to win more than one.

If we played most of our bowls versus ACC and Big East teams we'd be applauded for being awesome. Frankly, that wouldn't necessarily be right either but that's how the silly system operates.

Bottom line, we played who we played and most didn't go well. :ohwell:

I love the results today. Our biggest rivals all lost. It's awesome!

Wisconsin blows it against TCU.
Penn State chokes.
Michigan has nothing.
Michigan State proves that they didn't deserve elite status.

Northwestern showed a lot of strength today.

I understand that some folks will cheer for the conference, but I am not one of them. Big Ten football is entertaining, but Ohio State is the only one I want to succeed.
