2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

Gardner is extremely talented, but at this point is at least as raw a passer as TP was at the same point in his career. If Tater is at least compitent, I think he holds that job until DG is ready.

Now, if your scenario comes to fruition and DG starts from day 1, how would you expect Tater to handle that given his family's nomadic tendencies? I'd bet a large sum of money he's asking for a transfer faster than Rita snags up a leopard print at a blue light special sale...

THE DECOMMIT ? ELITE 11: Gardner and Bolden Steal the Show

At the end of the competition, the future Wolverine earned multiple awards in addition to drawing numerous comparisons to former world beater Vince Young and current Buckeye Terrelle Pryor. Those comparisons are likely due to Gardner?s frame, as he stands about 6?5? and weighs in at around 215 pounds. But as several observers and writers noted, Gardner is much further ahead of both Young and Pryor in his ability to throw the football, which bodes well for a scary Michigan offense in the future.
As far as Gardner and Tate go, I agree with your second sentence. I expect Gardner to redshirt a year, and then get some playing time in "mop up" duty his RS freshman year. Even more time the following. It would certainly be possible, though I think unlikely, that he'll unseat Tate after his redshirt year. Most UM fans I talk to are in the same boat that Tate will play his four years, and Devin will have two years as the BMOC.

The QB race for the 2011 season could be really exciting though. We could be seeing a qb by committee.

Tough economy. Recruiters trying to get their 40 hrs for the week?

Possible but more than likely someone just wants to be the guy who brought in a dude named Munchie Legaux. i mean your going down in the history books with that one regardless of how he plays.

Nothing tops last year's initial verbal.

Oh no...not even close. No doubt about that.

I'm still pissed at Tulsa for costing me 4-5 years of shaved beaver jokes. :(

Yeah, I was looking forward to hearing "And Beaver takes it hard from behind!!" as he got sacked from the blind side during The Game.
