More on mline about he rumors
Michigan Wolverines Football Forum - MLive.com
here is what was posted on the MSU forum.Michigan is about to bench Tate Forcier and, yes, have Denard Robinson start against the Badgers on Saturday. WTKA radio in Ann Arbor reported much of this.www.annarbor.com will likely have something soon.
Anyway, yesterday at practice the latest member of TeamForcier got into it with RichRod. The Rivals.com Wolverine message board was all over this. Oh, and evidently Forcier's dad is a factor too, as he doesn't seem to think that Forcier is being properly used.
Not that it really matters, since Michigan was a sacrificial lamb to Wisconsin this Saturday anyway, but fans of comedy -- and tragedy -- will want to tune in to the Badger-Wolverine game on Saturday to watch the meltdown.

Wow ... just wow.

First off, great news for Ray ... I mean, we hate Michigan and all that, but it sure is a big step up from Kent State and Bowling Green.

Second, if I'm Michigan fan, I'm wondering just what in the Hell is going on with my program right now. Okay, so the lack of success on the field can be rationalized away by saying that the cupboard was bare (yeah, except for Brandon Graham, Donovan Warren, Ryan Van Bergen, Brandon Minor, Carlos Brown, Steve Schilling ... you know, all your best players) ... or that RichRod needs a few classes to get "his" guys (like fifteen 165-pound slot dots) ... but based on his success at a nothing program in a nowhere town, Mr. Wizard Hat was supposed to stroll into Ann Arbor - with all that culture and all that tradition and all those winged helmets - and turn Michigan into the USC of the Midwest when it came to recruiting ... and he's targeting kids with offers from the MAC, Sun Belt, service academies, and bottom-tier BCS schools?
Courtney Avery (Army, BGSU, EMU, Indiana, Louisville, Stanford, Toledo, Vandy)
Drew Dileo (Stanford, Tulane)
Tony Drake (no other offers listed)
Carvin Johnson (LaTech, Minny, N. Illinois, Tulsa, Utah)
Cornelius Jones (Duke, Stanford, Wake)
Antonio Kinard (no other offers listed)
Jordan Paskorz (BGSU, Minny, Pitt, UVa)
Jerald Robinson (no other offers listed)
D.J. Williamson (no other offers listed)

That's nine players - almost half of Michigan's current class - that essentially were not pursued by any other major football power. Now Ray Vinopal (BGSU, Kent State, Air Force) gets offered. I can certainly understand looking for guys that are flying under the radar or that have unique skills that fit your system - Ohio State does the same thing from time to time - but 50% of your class are sleepers? And another 25% were not heavily pursued by anyone of note? Only Gardner, Miller, Marvin Robinson, and Hagerup were "national" recruits ... it just wasn't supposed to go down this way.

Again, no offense to the kids - I mean, they must be thrilled that they are getting a chance to play football at one of the traditional powerhouse programs - but what is the recruiting strategy here? There's a fine line between genius and lunacy ... and it seems like RichRod is walking on the wrong side of it right now.

All in on snake eyes....

maybe Michigan has learned a valuable lesson with McGuffie, it wasn't that he was a slot dot that got the shit kicked out of him in the Big Ten, it was that he was white, if only Rodriguez can get his players in the system, his black players, then everything will be alright

Another lengthy, quality breakdown from Brian, but here's the notable part (from RR comments)
So: Michigan is likely to reconfigure its defense. The obvious thing to do is pull the overmatched or underperforming safeties off the field; rumors are focused on Brandon Smith, linebacker as of two weeks ago, as a replacement. This makes sense against Wisconsin, as Michigan figures to be in an eight-man front on any reasonable rushing down. Then you've got one deep safety who will probably not be Jordan Kovacs because Kovacs has shown over the past few weeks that he has magically un-delicious walk-on speed. Woolfolk may move, or it may be Warren, who's been playing a two-deep safety in various formations for much of the year after the Woolfolk move. This means JT Floyd gets another crack at corner.
Brandon Smith was an oversized S destined for LB in HS, and proved too slow to handle S when he reached UM. He has been working at their WLB/S position (Spinner) for awhile now.

This is an interesting shift. Kovacs is limited but executes a little better than their scholarship safeties. Where do you play him in this scheme? Or do you?

Woolfolk wasn't great but was their only real option at corner opposite Warren. Now you're moving one of those two out against a team who can throw the ball on suspect defenses (see MSU)? And marching in Floyd to struggle some more?

Wisconsin loves to pound the rock, but they will sling it around too. Tolzien threw 25+ passes in the first 7 games, including 31 vs MSU & 45 vs OSU.

They seem to be mirroring their defensive strategy after DickRod's recruiting strategy...throw a bunch of crap against the wall and see what sticks.

Like that wasn't the most rascist thing I have read on the internet in a while. Idc if its an osu board, michigan board or nascar, but theres no need to bring in IGNORANT, rascist remarks for no reason.
Either you are a jackass, or know nothing about football.
Do you know that our starting middle linebacker got benched for A WHITE line backer. Do you know that our qb who has been starting all year is WHITE. Do you know that our safety who is a WALKON is WHITE. Do you know that 4/5ths of our oline are WHITE. So take your rascist stuff off the internet and keep it in your house ingorant kid. Michigan board, Osu board, it does not matter, stuff needs to be said about ignorant stuff, and it is funny how know one said nothing about it to this kid. Nice picture with terrelle pryor your quarterback also buddy.
