I see Ryan Mallet is doing quite well..he leads the 2nd ranked offense in the country.

Arkansas has only played 2 games, against very very bad pass defenses.

Having said that, Ryan will be a Top 10 draft pick someday, and I wish him well, but he didn't want to play in Rich Rodriguez' offense. There is nothing anybody could've done, his mind was made to leave. There is also a lot of talk that Ryan wanted out of Michigan under Carr.

He almost transferred at the beginning of the 2007 season. If Chad Henne never gets hurt and Mallett doesn't start 4 games for Michigan there is a good chance he might've transferred regardless.

He wanted to transfer under Carr.....but he stayed?

It's almost like Carr realized he was going to be really good and tried to get him to stay. How weird.

IU might be on one of their upticks that lead to 5-6 loss seasons, but I still think they're overmatched unless Tate continues to play like a freshman.
Denard Robinson is not worse at throwing the ball than Sheridan. At worst he's equal. His accuracy isn't great right now, but he's got a much stronger arm than Sheridan. Denard has an even stronger arm than Tate IMO. As far as Nicky Sheridan goes, well he cannot really throw it and he cannot run whatsoever, so basically he's useless. At least Robinson can run and make things happen with his legs.
His value is not turning the ball over, a weakness Tate has started to show with the way he holds that ball while improvising.

One thing that was interesting during the EMU game was Tate ran a lot of designed handoffs, and did not carry out his fakes making the job very easy on the defense. I wonder if this was to lessen the contact he took during an easy win, because there's a dramatic difference in their efficiency when running actual option looks.

Denard is not only a meager passer from the pocket, but he has trouble seeing over the line. UM needs to get him outside the pocket more often.

Tate got beat up by EMU. How will he last a Big Ten schedule? He goes down and that offense struggles.
I've mentioned that on numerous occasions, and I believe Jax has too. WVU could beat anyone with a healthy White and Slaton, but it seemed like at the end of every season, especially when they played more physical teams like Rutgers, Pitt, and South Florida, they were both injured during the game, or going into the game, and they would drop one of those contests. Of course, then they'd get six weeks off to heal up for their bowl and proceed to run all over whichever opponent they were playing.

That offense may be difficult to defend with the right personnel, but it's not conducive to ensuring the players' longevity.

We will see but Indiana has improved every game. He will get popped by Kirlew and Co. This will be the first DE's worth anything he will have faced. Thats why they play the game...I have seen alot bigger upsets in my life.

Against shit teams as well. I hate scUM as much as the next guy, but they're gonna steamroll IU by running it up their ass.

IU is more like another MAC team than a B10 team imo but as we have seen MAC teams can beat B10 teams cough**Toledo**cough. The real tests haven't started but I do think every hit the Tater receives counts toward a fairly low total his body can take before it starts to breakdown.

I refuse to watch the pole smokes so I have to rely on Jwins and the Ozone guy for my scUM scouting reports. Sounds to me like a team in for a very rude awakening the first time they see a good defense.

Go IU.

Fuck M*ch*gan

I will take the spread in a heartbeat. Indiana has the most underated DL in the country. You will see this when Forcier gets popped. Losing his center isn't gonna help. I hope he runs the ball.

Steamrolled eh...thats why they play the game. Game closer than you think. 21 way too high.
