I dunno, I guess I would have expected Master Shredder's offense to generate more than 150 ypg of rushing. Moreover, when you're under 4 ypc on the year, that's not good. In fact, their line was so terrible that when you subtract out the rushing losses and attempts from sacks, their ypc goes UP. Check for yourself: 1771 / 453 = 3.9 ypc WITH sacks, (1771-211) / (453-29) = 3.7 WITHOUT sacks. How the [censored] is that even possible?

(Note: this is rhetorical. I already know how it's possible, it's just goddamn hilarious to think about)

Actually thats not possible, you cant take out negative yardage carries and end up with a higher positive number. if i am reading your numbers correctly you should have written 1771+211 instead of subtracting. since they lost 211 yards from the sacks when you take them out you need to add the yards back into the total.

or i could be dense and reading the whole thing wrong.

Okay, according to the Beav, here's their offer breakdown (including current commits and those commited elsewhere...
QB- 9
RB- 17
WR-13
Slot- 5
OT-11
OG-2
Offense total = 57

DT-6
DE-19
LB-23
CB-17
S-11
Defense total = 76

That's 133 offers on the table. :yow2:

That's just absurd. Who needs to offer nine QB's? (especially when you have one blue-chipper already commited and two true froshes that are supposed to be good prospects)or 17 RB's? Sorry, but a scUM offer means next to nothing. It appears that JT and the staff want a tOSU offer to really mean something when you get it. Dick Rod is apparently just taking the Zooker approach...throw shit against the wall and see if it sticks.

who says dick rod ignores the defense? he clearly has a defensive strategy in mind and is meticulously combing through recruits finding the ones that best fit his system

to say that he has no idea what the fuck he is doing and is just throwing out offers to anyone with a pulse would be a gross misrepresentation of the truth :moo:

My offer total for us may be off by one or two, but I count us with 33 offers issued (including our five commits). Fucking Michigan has given out nine more offers just to LBs and DEs (42) than we have total.

Michigan has offered 23 LBs...we've offered five (Durham, McVey, Fortt, Hicks, Luc) or six if you count Turner as a LB. We both have two LB commits (or three for us, if you count Turner). So, Michigan is hitting at a 2-for-23 clip, while we're 2-for-5 (or 3-for-6).

Michigan has offered 17 RBs...we've offered two (Brown, Smith). Michigan has two commits while we've yet to get either of our two. So, Michigan is hitting at a 2-for-17 rate.

I'd do a few more positions, but I think we all get the gist...

DickRod is the new Zook, or scUM is the new Illinois (minus the recent win vs. tOSU, of course).

I literally think their coaches just sit around and look at youtube highlights and offer every player that scores a TD or records a TFL.

*that RB number doesn't include Smith who is claiming a scUM offer*

By Gene Hankerson... Miami NW HS OL Torrian Wilson says Mich leads by a lot, and he'll decide this summer.

Torrian is Rivals' #2 OG. Miami NW has been a pipeline to Da U, who offered last september, and was still his dream school in February. That would be a major pull for RR, assuming he can hold onto him. The local pressure will be high if he went to the wrong UM.

Delaware State forfeits Oct. 17 game to North Carolina A&T - NCAA Football - CBSSports.com Live Scores, Standings, Stats
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- North Carolina A&T has already captured its first win of the 2009 season -- four months before the opening kickoff.

North Carolina A&T said Wednesday that Delaware State will forfeit their game this season because the two sides couldn't settle on a date to renew the rivalry.

A&T officials said in a statement that the forfeit stems from a conflict created by an Oct. 17 game between the Hornets and Michigan. The Hornets and the Aggies were to play on that date.

Both schools tried to move the game to Nov. 14, but that presented another conflict between the Hornets and their game with Norfolk State. Delaware State then decided to forfeit the game with North Carolina A&T.

I've always been wondering if Genron could comment on Torrian, because I heard Torrian actually grew up a Michigan fan.

To be honest......I wouldn't even be surprised if Michigan lost that game with all the [censored] that has happened the past few years.
That might be the worst loss of them all, from a purely football standpoint (ignoring perception). Delaware State is quite bad.

True but when a 2 win MAC team comes into your house and bumps the season win total to 3.......that's pretty goddamn bad.*

* I don't know the first thing about Delaware State, I just can't miss a chance to get a shot in about their losing to fucking Toledo.

Nation’s No. 1 prospect 'loved' visit to Michigan

By JOSH HELMHOLDT • FREE PRESS SPECIAL WRITER • May 13, 2009

Henderson will focus more closely this summer on the recruiting process. He took several unofficial visits the past several months to, among others, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan State. It was a late March visit to Michigan, though, that Henderson said he, “loved… more than any other college I've been to so far.”

This summer, Henderson plans to expand his horizons, taking unofficial visits to Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Tennessee, Southern Cal and UCLA. Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State and Michigan have all been mentioned as leading contenders, but his finalists will likely be determined after his summer tour. As a U.S. Army All-American, Henderson could make his announcement during the telecast of the Army Bowl next January.
Michigan continues after four-star lineman

Another offensive lineman seriously considering U-M is Miami Northwestern’s Torrian Wilson. The 6-4, 315-pound Wilson will likely play guard in college, Rivals.com has him ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the nation at that position.

Wilson took a five-day visit to Ann Arbor last month, coinciding with Michigan’s spring game. Following the trip he named the Wolverines his leader and he reconfirmed their status this past weekend.

"They're still No. 1," Wilson said. "It's a football city and everyone in the city loves Michigan and comes out to support Big Blue."

Michigan has offered several prospects from Northwestern High and Wilson said he is selling the Wolverines to his teammates. Northwestern has a track record of being a feeder school for the nearby Miami Hurricanes, but U-M assistant coach Jay Hopson has put the Wolverines in contention for Wilson as well as running back Corvin Lamb, who lists Michigan as his leader.
That would be a major coup for Hopson, who was hailed as a great recruiter, but came up largely empty handed last year.
Wolverines running back Kevin Grady jailed for seven days after several probation violations - Michigan Wolverines Football: News, Blogs, Photos, Audio & Video - MLive.com
WYOMING -- Kevin Grady, the former East Grand Rapids football standout and a University of Michigan player, is in jail for seven days after violating his probation on a 2008 drunken driving conviction.
Grady pleaded guilty Thursday to a probation violation and Wyoming District Judge Steven Timmers sentenced him to the jail term.
Grady, 22, had avoided jail until now, but was serving a year of probation after he pleaded guilty in August to driving while intoxicated. A Wyoming police officer stopped his 2007 GMC Yukon Denali in the early morning hours of July 2 near 44th Street SW and Byron Center Avenue. Police later tested his blood-alcohol level at .24 -- three times the legal limit.
Court officials said he failed to properly report to probation agents in Ann Arbor, failed to complete a victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety education class, failed to complete 24 hours of community service and tested positive for opiates, a type of pain killer.
Grady, a Michigan tailback with one year of eligibility remaining, was suspended for one game last year, but did not play significantly during the season.

They had a losing record last season. They are a very bad football team.

4-8 Kent State dominated them. They failed to break 20 points in 8 games. They didn't make it to double digits in 4 of those.
