UM Rivals $

Travis made his decision, but UM coaches want him to think about it more, and decide later.

Maybe, just maybe, if they didn't toss offers off to every player that has a decent film clip, they wouldn't have to do that BS. What's the point of offering if you're not willing to accept their acceptance? All class that DickRod...

Duhh, when you are a small school like WVU you have to throw a lot of shit at the wall to see what sticks. How else is the man supposed to recruit? Its not like he's at the helm of a big time school who's name alone gets him in front of any elite recruit he wants to talk to.

Listen, Kid... we'd like to give you an offer for a scholarship to this fine university. We really like what we've seen with you, and it's clear you can play at this level.

Oh... by the way, take your time and think this through. I mean, take all the time you need. Maybe even more time than you need.

OK, let me break it down for you... I have offered 23 other kids at your position. Twenty Three! So... when I say take your time, I mean it. There's 22 guys in front of you and .... well... since we're being honest and all.... you probably aren't actually fit for big ten football physically... chance are we aren't going to be able to get your body ready for big ten football, but we promise to try. If you were better, we'd have offered you sooner (and played you anyway, even if you're way too small... which, again.. you are).

Anyway... it's a legitimate offer. But... really, we don't expect you to commit.... frankly, we think it'd be foolish for you to commit... but.... whatever... it's an offer. There's only a couple hundred to go around, and you made the cut!

Only other offers from Kansas State and Miami Ohio.

Wow. Just wow.

TOM: Where did they say they see you playing? I recently saw on Scout that you run a 4.9 40, is that accurate?
TRAVIS: They want to use me as a cornerback. They like my stride, and my overall speed. I need to talk to those guys, because that is definitely not right. I ran a 4.49, a 4.56, and a 4.7 at all the combines. The 4.7 was when I was injured too. So, that's definitely not right.
The other stuff, I've got nothing for ya. At best, this is an embarrassing pickup right now. I could see adding him on Feb 4th to fill the class, but not April 26th.

If Dior and Christian commit, along with already having Robinson on board, I could see this kid not committing in the end.

Why would he not commit? It's a free education, so who cares if you don't get to play? The kid clearly doesn't have an NFL future, so he might as well make the most of the situation.

Let me put it this way: I sucked at football. However, iIf OSU offered me a scholly, I'd commit in a heartbeat. Why? Because student loans suck, and there are much, much worse part-time jobs to have in college then playing on the practice squad.
