2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

paging Mili, a whiney little Michigan bitch needs to be reminded that a "few plays" that didn't go Ohio State's way are the only reason that The Game in '06 wasn't at least a two score victory for the Buckeyes

Two frosh QB's who don't quite play like normal frosh.

these guys cant even separate themselves from Nick freaking Sheridan........

I actually have a good feeling that we will be pleasantly surprised by the defesne under Robinson's tutelage and at least Robinson has a proven track record as a successful D-coordinator!

you cant make chicken salad from chicken shit

I wonder

what will the reaction of the scUM fans be if they lose to Western Michigan on Saturday?

right now they are grasping for all their might, I think maybe losing the 3rd straight opener and to a MAC school for a second year might finally trigger a total and complete fan base meltdown for the ages

maybe im underestimating their underlying stupidity though and they would continue to praise rich rod

not Mili obviously, but I thought I'd chime in...

I believe they got the ball either 3 times or 2 times in the 4th quarter with a chance to take the lead. Regardless of the number, the fact is they went 3 and out every single time. That game was close in score only. Nobody wearing red that day felt any danger of losing that game after we tied it 7-7.

I guess I would go back a few years and pretend like I had a chance to win a marquee game even though I didn't if my last memory of football was 3-9, though.

We warned them about the crying. :slappy:

Here's a little gem from our friend jthorpe24:

Um, it was a clear cut personal foul, genius. Those rules are put in place to protect the players. "One of the worst calls you have ever seen"? :roll1:
so, in the game that had the only known instance of "roughing the snapper" being called in an actual game, an obvious late hit (to the head at that) is one of the worst calls ever?

Facts about M*ch*g*n Football:

  • If you hit a slot receiver over the head with a stick, he turns into 40 gold coins.
  • If you throw Tate Forcier into a tub of hot water he makes Sleepytime Tea.
  • If you lose a fight to slot receiver you become one.

"To this day... I think the call was complete BS, you don't make a call like that at the end of a game. If Crable would have let up, it would have been much easier for Smith to throw the ball. It was one of the worst calls I have ever seen."

By this logic, if you smuggle a sharpened toothbrush in your jersey, and shank the QB, there should be no legal repercussions. 'Cause, ya' know, the QB is dead and all, but otherwise it might have been easy for him to throw the ball.

PS: Smith's head bounced off his shoulder from that hit--it was not subtle.

So, we head into Costco last night to pick up a few items. As we're going down one side of the building, I see "BIG HOUSE" t-shirt on a guy. I stop and consider whether I should bring something wonderful up. My wife looks at me, and says, "What?"; because she doesn't know what I'm looking at. I just mention that the guy is a Michigan fan (not very many of those out here in Oregon). I think it best to leave the poor soul alone (and my wife's patience for me in public).

We continue shopping and head up to the Check-Out. Lo and behold, who is behind me in the next Check-Out?! Michigan Man himself. I'm giddy. I lightly place my hand on his shoulder and say, "I'd like to offer my condolences on the week you're having as a Michigan fan". He turns around with a huge smile on his face, and he says, "Yeah. No kidding." So, we chit chat a little bit, and I let him know I'm a Buckeye fan. Interestingly enough (and this is the reason for sharing the story), he tells me that he has an uncle in Michigan that he visits. His fandom of the team started in the 80s. I have to admit I almost felt sorry for the chap as he agreed with me on every point with regard to the wretched decision of hiring RR. He didn't offer up one consideration of hope for the future with Herr Douchenozzle at the helm. Just another interesting introspection into the sensible side (yes, it is tiny) of the Michigan fanbase.

You mean other than he led with his helmet, hit the QB high AND late?

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if we lose. It wouldn't even surprise me if Michigan loses to Delaware St later in the year at the rate Michigan is going. There are a few fans that just don't even care any more.
