2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

The last time somebody's shoelaces were news worthy was when David Carradine was found dead in a closet with his penis tied to his neck.

Just sayin' ...

In order to do that, he must have been taking those blue pills for years.

I don't see why you wouldn't play 4 all season. You heard it from the Scout boards:
I think people are really selling sheridan short based off limited time last yr. His arm is much improved from last yr, he does know the offense much better and he is noticably quicker/faster. Consider his last game healthy was against minnesota and he did just fine.

So Sheridan is much improved and quicker/faster after breaking his leg in the spring? A doctor might want to check that out, his tendons might have healed too tight?

I'm guessing they don't want to hear that Sheridan attempted only 28 less passes than Pryor did last year.

I gotta tell you that I really do hope they beat Notre Dame this year. I'd like to see the Big Ten teams whitewash them and see Chuckie get fired before year end. That would be a precious memory, especially after the Buckeyes wax them in Ann Arbor. It's a shame my Dad is not here to see this.

Are you mad?

A scUM victory and a Heavy Weisen firing are not good things for OSU. Both from the same game is double bad.

You need to do some daily affirmations:
"its ok for scUM to suck"
"we want Charlie Weis at ND"

over and over and over until it sticks. :wink2:

Two solid drunken nights at the Cheeky Monk in Winter Park, CO and all I have to say is Fuck Dick Rod... his four QB system and all the lemmings who think that they have a chance at winning more than four games this year.

I'm done. Going to bed. White water rafting on the upper Colorado in the morning.

:oh:

First, of course I am mad. Mili recently said so, so it's fact.

Second, I admit to my selfishness. I keep imaging the fun of watching Notre Dame fans blame this one on Willingham. Justs remember, with two losses, they may well steal a BCS bowl game from a team that actually deserves it. A whitewashing from the Big Ten, even lowly TSUN, would be a real dilemma for their fans and all the "sports journalists" blowing smoke up their behinds right now.

:slappy:

As for TSUN, if they beat Notre Dame, their fans would scream that they are back. Then, would come that creeping sense of fear and eventual depression as Notre Dame continued losing and TSUN gets jacked multiple times before the final despair of Ohio State in AA.

For the record, my burning wish is for Charlie Weis to take advantage of this years' light schedule and a down Southern Cal ("down" as it relates to their QB depth/experience the previous seven years, of course) and run the table.

If OSU can't make the title game, I'll happily settle for watching Notre Dame getting hammered 70-7 by the Gators or the Longhorns or whoever else they don't deserve to play.

See you guys are getting all complicated with your wishes. I'm just a simple guy with simple wishes.

I want scUM to lose every game they ever play again while there is life on this planet.

I want ND to lose every game they ever play again while there is life on this planet.

During the annual meteor game I want ND to win if it keeps Fat Bastard in South Bend. When Dick Rod makes the hot seat I'll want scUm to win it in order to keep his incompetent ass in charge of our most hated enemy. Of course it should go without saying the meteor strike that rids the world of both teams, and a significant number of their fans, in one glorious ball of righteous flame is always my first wish.

You guys are going to fuck around and wish something good on these dirty bastards and it will come true. How are you going to sleep at night thinking that maybe that little ounce of good karma you sent their way is what tipped the scales back in their favor? They may very well both be good again but I for one shall be damned if its because of any good karma I sent the fuckers way.

I made the mistake in mid 2006 of wishing the Gators well because of how much it meant to the little neighbor boy and because it seemed they could never do us any harm. How we lookin now on that particular bit of brilliance on my part? :(

Never again.

... then here's another one you'll like from ESPN/Adam Rittenberg's blog.

A look back at the Big Ten annual stat leaders - Big Ten - ESPN

These are the conference teams that led each major given statistical category within the conference from 2004-2008:

Rushing offense: Wisconsin (2008), Illinois (2007), Illinois (2006), Minnesota (2005), Minnesota (2004)

Passing offense: Illinois (2008), Northwestern (2007), Purdue (2006), Northwestern (2005), Purdue (2004)

Total offense: Penn State (2008), Purdue (2007), Purdue (2006), Northwestern (2005), Michigan State (2004)

Total defense: Penn State (2008), Ohio State (2007), Wisconsin (2006), Ohio State (2005), Wisconsin (2004)

Scoring offense: Penn State (2008), Purdue (2007), Ohio State (2006), Minnesota (2005), Purdue (2004)

Scoring defense: Iowa (2008), Ohio State (2007), Wisconsin (2006), Ohio State (2005), Penn State (2004)

Turnover margin: Ohio State (2008), Iowa (2007), Minnesota (2006), Wisconsin (2005), Iowa (2004)

Pass efficiency: Penn State (2008), Ohio State (2007), Ohio State (2006), Ohio State (2005), Purdue (2004)

Pass defense efficiency: Iowa (2008), Ohio State (2007), Wisconsin (2006), Penn State (2005), Penn State (2004)

I did not personally verify these, but according to Rittenberg's list, only two teams have not lead the conference in any of these major categories over the previous five years: Michigan and Indiana.
