2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

They seem to have studied us so much to see that we stink on offense, we are terrible on defense

it took about three seconds of "studying" their team last year to come to both of those conclusions, but given Michigan's new policy of letting kids in without high school diplomas, it seems like that is about the normal amount of time for a cram session up in AA these days

Gotta admit, I cheated. I didn't study.

I just read the cliffs notes/Toledo box score to know they sucked on both offense and defense.

Mark each of the 7-8 games you think you will win:

Western Michigan (W)
Notre Dame (L)
Eastern Michigan (W)
Indiana (W)
@Michigan State (W)
@Iowa (L)
Delaware State (W)
Penn State (L)
@Illinois (L)
Purdue (W)
@Wisconsin (W)
Ohio State

It doesn't take much to imagine that they could be 4 - 1 by the time they hit Iowa

So yeah, I can see them coming into The Game 7 and 4, maybe 8 and 3.

Frankly, OSU needs them to be somewhere close to that to get any BCS push themselves, especially if the pre-season predictions are correct and the big games are very early in the season, USC and Illinois.

scUM isn't beating Michigan State or Wisconsin this year and will need to score at least 40 to beat Western Michigan.

I think 5-6 is more realistic than 7-4 going into the Ohio STate game.

I don't get why people continue to give wisconsin respect. Alvarez and his good squads are long gone.

Rr was booed off the field at halftime and later said they deserved it. Constant turnovers, mistakes, and general ineptitude. Michigan should have been losing by 4-5 tds at halftime but wisconsin's inability to move the ball on a suspect, tired UM D kept it within reach.

If they didn't schedule Cal poly, they don't even make the bowls. They almost lost to CP anyway.

Bielema has let that program slide big time.

I agree with everything you said, however, this year's game is at Wisconsin this time around.

Something tells me Bielema will be coaching for his job at that point. If that's the case he'll get really conservative and continue the pound the ball at scUM's Defense. If scUM isn't appreciably better on offense by that time and I don't think they will be, that defense should be beaten up pretty good by then.

Now watch him do the same damn thing as last year just to prove me wrong :biggrin:
