2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

If size is really a big issue for you guys you should look at the incoming freshman class so far if it holds

Ricardo Miller 6'2
Devin Gardner 6'4 just in case he switches to WR doubt it
DJ Williamson 6'2
Jeremy Jackson 6'3
Jerald Robinson 6'0

along with

Greg Matthews 6'3
Roy Roundtree 6'2
Daryl Stonum 6'1 .....

Nice list...now add all the names of all the guys who are at or around 5'10"

Done?

Good...now ask yourself: doesn't that list seem long? I mean isn't that a shitload of WRs for one team?

It isn't just about how TALL there are...it is that there are fucking 20 of them. That is the point...quantity.

NOW...think about how many LB you have..and how many DL you have.

See what we are saying?

YOU HAVE A LOT OF WRS....I MEAN A LOT OF THEM. But you couldn't field a two deep on the DL in spring ball and you are paper thin at LB.

If that looks good to you then you are absolutely cheering for the right team and man crushing on the right head coach...enjoy...but sometimes when you are the only team with...what... I dunno...35 years of eligibility at WR on your current roster.. it isn't every one else... it is YOU.

Geeze... the actual tsun news isn't depressing enough that we have to make up reasons to bash these guys.

(Hey, Maybe these WR's will be the next "Smurfs")

How long has Rodriguez been at Michigan compared to Urban/Florida?

And we're talking about the amount of offers out for players who are generally considered undersized for major D1 programs who are likely going to be slot WRs/RBs. If you don't think Michigan is going for smaller athletes since Rodriguez took over.. you're blind.

Rich is going into his 2nd year at Michigan, whereas Urban is going into his 5th year at Florida.

I don't think Rich is going after smaller athletes on purpose, like it's part of some master-plan to have midgets playing football. Rich is going after speed, and some of the faster athletes just happen to be a bit smaller.

As far as the current recruiting class goes, I'm not convinced that all of them actually wind up in the class.

Or maybe the NORMAL sized fast players want to play for better programs.!?

The question about how long the two had been at their programs was rhetorical. Not that it matters.

Ok, so even if he's not going for them on purpose, he's still going for them. Even if you take size out of it, Michigan is still going to have some depth issues on the defensive side of the ball. As others have said, it's not just size that we find humorous.. we find it funny that he seems to be in love with smaller players, but it's even more humorous that he's in love with the slot WR-type guys.

You know, my morbid curiosity on how bad this team may be actually has me almost as excited to see the scUM opener as I am for Navy.

I have Yackity Sax loaded on the iPod just for the show!! (Gotta say I laughed my ass off watching the 2008 UM/ND game. That shit was hilarious!! :slappy:)

I dont know if it's going to better or more of the same. IMO this team has a very fragile mindframe right now, another opening season loss and we could tank again. Hope i am wrong!

Has Michigan even lost to a directional school from Michigan before?

I'm thinking scUM will have to score 40 to beat Western Michigan.
