2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

LOL i'm trolling?!?!? All i said is that i dont get where you guys are getting all the hype about Michigan recruiting small players. They have 6 on their roster compared to Florida's 10. Florida should win the title "Midget U" well before Michigan.

When and where did i say you were wrong?

See below. Seems the "all I said was..." bullshit doesn't hold up anymore than the feigned innonce over trolling.

Recruiter129;1495566; said:
Ringer had 96 receptions
Devine has 35 receptions

obviously not all the "midgets" Michigan is recruiting are going to play WR some of them will be used in special teams

Recruiter129;1495557; said:
5'8 Jeffery Demps Florida
5'7 Brandon James Florida
5'9 Chris Rainey Florida
5'9 Noel Devine West Virgina
5'8 Antone Smith Florida State
5'10 Javon Ringer Michigan State etc.........

By the way Florida has 10 guys listed between 5'9 and 5'6

I dont think size really matters to those guys they still get it done

I agree but its not like hes going out gettin these guys for anything but slot. Slot recivers are typically small speedy shifty guys i dont see anything wrong with what hes doing.

Neither do we. In fact most here hope he's the coach up there for a loooong time.

Proving?

A) You haven't "proved" anything except you are looking to start shit and yeah thats trolling.

B) No one here ever argued they couldn't but nice try on the straw man.

Drew Dileo is 5'10.5 and him or Drake dont have signed LOI's so until they sign theres so guarantee which is why i didnt add them

Terric Jones is 5'10 and i listed the players that were under 5'9
Drew Dileo is not a shade below 5'11", regardless of what his claimed height is. Nor was McGuffie a shade under 6'
All i said is that i dont get where you guys are getting all the hype about Michigan recruiting small players.
Roundtree, Robinson, Odoms are all tiny. These guys were added in the span of 2 months, and McGuffie obviously was a guy they wanted.

McGuffie was the featured back in the offense despite being terribly undersized and unwilling to take on tacklers.

Jones, Smith, Gallon were added the following year. Drake, Dileo were signed before the above played their first game, and a number of other slots were heavily pursued.
Florida should win the title "Midget U" well before Michigan.
There is zero comparison between the speed of UF's pocket rockets and Michigan's.
When and where did i say you were wrong?
Sorry, we're not idiots that would fall for a backpedal like this.

Is it trolling? Maybe not, but throwing out lines like this certainly appears to be baiting to me

so i dont get the idea where RR is loading up with these guys and only 4 of those players are his
With the exception of Smith, these little guys can only play one position on offense, and UM typically only uses 1 at a time. They've devoted a remarkable amount of scholarships to one position, and many of them to undersized jitterbugs.

We think it's overkill. You've taken the day to try and show us the error of our ways. Call it whatever you want, but it hasn't been very convincing.

Florida hands the ball off to Demps & Rainey, but you'll constantly hear UF recruitniks bemoaning Meyer's love for big backs and quest for one on the recruiting trail.

when michigan starts recruiting defense like florida, then you can start comparing the two.
Nor are the tiny slot-dots used the same.

None of those mighty gator midgets were major targets in the passing game. Their top 7 receivers went:
6'3" 205 | 5'11" 195 | 6'3" 255 | 6'0 195 | 6'3 215 | 6'5 215 | 6'3 220

The smallest guy in that group looks like this:
percy_harvin.jpg

2007, the top-7 WRs were all FL, SE & TE sized, not slot dots. The #8 WR was a 212 lb RB. The first slot dot on the list checks in at #9, totalling 8 catches.

2006, not one slot-dot appears on the list of 14 players that caught passes. In fact, on average the receivers were even bigger, with only one exception, and that was a flanker sized Cornelius (5'11" 187).

Roundtree is 6'2

McGuffie was the only the featured back due to injuries and Minors attitude

In all honesty i doubt you'll see Drake wearing a UM jersey. I think RR was going after him for a package deal with Drakes teammeate who plays LB so dont be surprised if Drake isnt a Wolverine. Jones , Smith and Gallon were all 3 star speed burners, They have the perfect size to fit the role they need to play at SLOT and SPECIAL TEAMS.

The Verdict is in the air on players like Gallon and TRob if you look at the scout strengths it lists breakaway speed.

Any argument between you guys and an UM fan your most likly going to consider trolling.

With the exception of Smith, these little guys can only play one position on offense, and UM typically only uses 1 at a time. They've devoted a remarkable amount of scholarships to one position, and many of them to undersized jitterbugs.

As of right now theres three players at the slot positon Odoms, Terrance Robinson, and Justin Feagin. Its not an ungodly amount, good for the depth chart.

We think it's overkill. You've taken the day to try and show us the error of our ways. Call it whatever you want, but it hasn't been very convincing.

I'm gettin paid for every minute of it.

That doesn't make it true. Gallon has great quickness, agility & other attributes well-suited for the slot position. Straight line, top-end speed is not one of his strengths. He's one of those guys who is extremely quick but not particularly fast.

It's the quantity that we're finding fault with...

Odoms is solid. Gallon could be special, Stokes is a good player, VSmith seems like a shifty back and he'll recruit other quality slots after them. It just seems like a lot of scholarships for one position, particularly when defensive positions like LB remain very thin.
I'm gettin paid for every minute of it.
If I was, I'd cut you more slack :p

Either you don't follow Michigan football very well, or you're just here trying to stir up nonsense.

Teric Jones is 5'9.
Jeremy Gallon is well under 5'9.
Drew Dileo is about 5'9.
Tony Drake is well under 5'9.

Dior Mathis was an early offer.

Among others, RR offered Roy Finch, Nick Jones, Corvin Lamb, Jamaal Jackson,Terrence Talbott, Nukeese Richardson, Jordan Hall, Travante Stallworth.

What is your goal in this morning mission of yours?

Correction Dileo is 5'10 every inch matters.:wink2:

If you think size matters check out the incoming freshmen

Actually, right with you on that one. Freshmen girls add a couple of inches to me:) They certainly are more affective than midget madness.
