2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

No other program in college football has such a fine collection of physically superior 160 lb slot-dots as Michigan. With Barwis's program, these guys play way over their heads. Some of them actually play like they weigh 168, or 172.

Heck, in Barwis' very first year he had Nick Sheridan playing like he was at least 450-475 lbs!

Yessirree! If they act now, this kind of result from this kind of game is a certainty...who can forget this epic moment!

All hail Rich Rod, all hail Rich Rod.

Just don't expect to break losing streaks against any team with a heartbeat.

A little help? When was this photo taken? After his victory in the spring game?
2008. After #9 Wisconsin (finished 7-6, 3-5 in Big10) blew a 19-0 lead in the 2nd half to bring Rich Rod to 2-2 at Michigan (3-9, 2-6 in Big 10...oh and a 42-7 (!!!) curb-stomping to Ohio State).

It is best for TSUN fans that your alumni begin to handle it in public and send this carnival act packing. They have spoken quietly for some time now. The University needs to listen.

Fans also can help. Stop buying tickets to home games. Stop donating money to the program. Let them know you will return when the carnival act has departed.

It's your only hope.

Without action now, this "down cycle" could become a ten year crusade.

A decision will be made one way or the other after this year, it's only fair to give him 3 years.

I read some of the posts by delusional TSUN fans that were linked earlier in this thread and was certainly amused. Rarely is a rational post found. Well, here's one by a TSUN supporter reacting to his "brethren" trying to bash tOSU:

I must say I find it slightly embarrassing that our fan-base is talking smack to Ohio St.'s about BCS NC losses and the SEC when we've gone 8-16 overall and 3-13 in the Big Ten the last two years. If that ever happened at tOSU they would probably shut the borders to the state of Ohio and conduct firing squad maneuvers.

I actually give the Ohio St. people credit for having the discussion. We've lost 6 straight to them and 8 of 9 overall. Does anybody recall this fact?

I subscribe to the adage of take your wins and go quietly. And your losses? Definitely not the time to start acting like the king of the mountain.

I think what is really pissing off some of my Wolverine brethren is that many of them (some of the same people I see trying to piss in OSU's cornflakes) have been hyping up Oregon as what RR will have when he gets "his players". Many of them were absolute in their conviction that the great Oregon spread would run roughshod over the Sucks. Didn't happen did it? Whether they will admit it or not they have doubts about RR (who couldn't after a couple of season Eastern Michigan would be proud of) Rather than point the blame squarely where it belongs they've written new books of excuses on why he has failed so miserably and why he will be great in spite of the evidence to the contrary. This is a typical human coping mechanism. Next year is put up or shut up time....I think even some of the co-authors of the excuse book are starting to acknowledge this fact.

I'm looking forward to seeing more threads about recruiting and less nonsense like I'm seeing in this particular charade.

Beaver at it again, re: Hankins

scout$$

Just completely making [censored] up as if he has any insight into tOSU's recruiting plans. It sickens me that this clown is on scout's payroll. There's no accountability to the [censored] he spews. :shake:

Aww...tell us what he said..I can't click thru, Beav banned me for life.

I know many of Tom's disciples are now saying they never really wanted Hankins...

Basically, tOSU is only taking Hankins because they know Floyd is going to UF. But, if Floyd changes to go to tOSU, JT will cut Hankins loose. Hankins is only choosing tOSU because his coach is badmouthing DickRod and Hankins will just ride the pine in C-bus anyway. Typical sour grapes bull[Mark May]. He does it everytime (50.1 %). It's pathetic, really.

At the Army-East practice, watching Cullen in initial drills ...

The Hankins saga

Executive Summary: we're been unofficially informed, by the TV-radio media outlet he'll use, that Hankins will announce tomorrow (Tues) ... it'll be OSU.

The saga.
Summer -- OSU gives him a soft-offer. U-M can't offer because (i) he's 75 pounds overweight, (ii) he'd commit.

cut to fall - U-M offers ... but the SEastern coaches hammer U-M until even the family becomes (as of last night) anti-U-M in this deal.

cut to now. Hankins picks OSU tomorrow ...

... meanwhile Sharrif Floyd announces at the Army Game this coming Sat.
.. anyone think if OSU ecpects Floyd-to-OSU that they'd let Hankins announce. Ifso, they'll drop him soon after.
... however, down here, despite Sharrif publically-saying that OSU leads ... folks here expect Florida.

... which is why Hankins'd be allowed to announce tomorrow.

If the announcement gets 'delayed at the last sec' ... then that's bad new for Hankins -- itd mean FLoyd-to-OSU is expected by OSU.

We feel a little for Hankins since he grew up a U-M fan -- he's been sold a bill of good by SE coaches (any reason will do for them -- the sky being LIGHT-blue, not U-M-blue would be enuff) ... lets hope he's not being sold one my POSU and has to come back begging U-M ...

... because if he announces for OSU ... U-M'll not take him after that.

+++++++
-- If Hankins picks OSU and they stick with him -- good for him, an education (hopefully) as he rides pine.
-- If he picks OSU and they drop him because FLoyd-picks-OSU ... JH's been sold a bad bill of good bu his coaches.
-- if the announcement gets suddenly-delayed and Floyd-picks-OSU ... then Hankins will have to buck the SE coaches and come to his senses, etc ...

Stay tuned ...
