2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

This clown seems to think that Michigan will climb to the top of the Big Ten because of the potentially uncapped upcoming NFL season. Apparently, every single one of our juniors is going to declare, thus turning allowing scUM, who has been under .500 for the past two seasons, to reclaim their rightful position at the top.

I guess when you've got nothing left to hold on to, you can hold on to crazy.

These guys are becoming ever more delusional. No amount of players leaving, no degree of luck, nothing at all, is going to make the Big Ten bad enough for scUM to climb to the top next season. FFS they got ABUSED by Illinois and State Penn. The same Illinois that got shut out in the Shoe and had an awful season. Unless the draft depletes the Illini's roster, how is Rodriguez gonna beat them???

Somebody should tell Saine and Sanz that they'll be leaving early. I'm sure they'd appreciate the heads up since this will be the first they've heard of it. I'm thinking high first round for them, so it makes sense that they take the leap.

Thanks for the great seasons, guys!

In the same vein ...
Let alone Heyward, whose public pronouncements thus far have been even more squarely in the "I'm back" column than even Saine. Boren seems like another unlikely departure and I've yet to see something from Browning that is explicit one way or the other.

In fact, aside from Small, Gibson and possibly Torrence there are stronger reasons to read the tea leaves as many of the other players are staying than that they are leaving.

One last point of issue - the way that entry was written at MGoBLog betrays one other bias, or perhaps a truly ugly truth. All the other Big10 programs except TSUN apparently have valuable contributing Juniors. Thus, either TSUN's juniors are piss poor (possible, but surely not across the board), or the entry author puts on the blinkers and avoids looking for other candidates that might be lured to the Sunday league for pay (such as Schilling). Factor in significant lack of current depth and ...

Current juniors came in before RR - the cupboard was bare - and only have two years under Barwis !1!1!!!! - so Donovan Warren is a total aberration.

Their Juniors all play for other schools now.

The college football season is over. Now is the long wait for the season opener. In the meantime, here's a season opener I will never tire of remembering! Video courtesy of Our Honor Defend!
