2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

There are two ways OSU will look at this game. 1) They will think that scum is the worst team in the Big 10 and all they need to do is show up to win. 2) They will want to crush scum so bad in the first half that they don't even come out after halftime. With JT giving the motivation I'd put my money on #2. OSU's D is going to be licking their chops to get a shot at Tater.

THIS!!!

I firmly believe the Buckeyes will go Up North (and unlike scUM, they can get past Toledo , sorry, just had to throw in this reference to last year's most overused joke!) fully intending to dismantle the Piss-n-Blue.

I believe Pryor will play at least as well as he did against the State Penn Kittenly Lions (the same team that blew out scUM). I believe Tressel will have some intense schemes and play calls, and Posey will run through scUM defenders like water in a sieve to catch TP's perfect throws.

The Defense will mash Tater Tot into Tater Salad and he might not even last the entire game. Shoelaces will then come in and throw interceptions that Curt Coleman returns for multiple TD's.

DickRod yanks Shoelaces and throws in Nick Sheridan who pees his pants as he gets flashbacks of James Laurinaitis coming after him last year.

Ray Small has epic punt/kick-off returns, and Cameron Heyward will put the fear of Tressel in yet another class of Wolverines that graduates without ever having beat Ohio State. I strongly believe this team will not allow our winning streak to end.

I predict a brutal humiliation of scUM at home, maybe even a shut-out, and those M*ch*g*n fans who didn't sell their tickets to tOSU fans will be leaving by half time, and the Out House will be taken over by the Scarlet and Gray and the O-H-I-O chant!

Here's a flashback from 2007 in the Out House.

I would argue that point.

That OSU team was the team of the century. They were unbeatable. Our closest game was 27 points going in to Ann Arbor. That was an enormous upset.

No team is unbeatable, and the '69 Michigan team proved that. Not only did Michigan go into that game on a roll and ranked, they had a solid coach at the helm how understood the magnitude of The Game. Michigan this year is on the skids coming into The Game (regardless of what they do next week) and has a head coach who thinks The Game is nothing more than just another game. Michigan winning this year would surely rival the '69 upset as the biggest in The Rivalry.

Crack kills medivalman!!!! All these same teams are also shaking in their pants at ND and the juggernaut they will be next year. Michigan versus ND in the NC game...you heard it here first :tongue2:

The first All North rematch in BCS NC history! Don't let the guys from the SEC see this. They'll have a shit hemorrhage.

All of this '69 season talk is nonsense and here's why..

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

1969
1968.. Woody goes for 2 because he couldn't get 3. The Buckeyes BEAT DOWN scUM and to top it off, Woody rubbed their noses in it.

42-7 was a gift. Tress called off the dogs. The M*ch*g*n sidelines were in such utter disarray and their entire team was in meltdown mode. Tress could have easily gotten another TD or two at the very least.
Exactly. Jim Tressel has given little to no ammo, the Senator will have our guys ready to play - and Rich Rodriguez is certianly no Bo Schembechler. End of story.

Nor is the OSU team this year remotely close to the team from 1969.

I can't see any way that UM beats us this year.

I couldn't see Purdue doing it.

I couldn't see MSU doing it in 1998.

Miami couldn't see it January of 2003.

Notre Dame couldn't see Carnegie Tech in 1926.

For anybody who believes it simply can not happen I hope you are enjoying your first season following college football.

Fuckin' A...Notre Dame just didn't have the intern's decided schematic advantage they would have over Carnegie Tech in 2009. They'd be all OVER that shit now.

I'll tell ya why I'm not worried about this year turning into 1969 redux...

1969 shitweasels coached by Bo Schembechler...a good man from Ohio who "got" the rivalry.
2009 shitweasels coached by Rich Rodriguez...a stupid hick from West Virginia who probably "got" chlamydia from a wvu cheerleader.

Fail. Even (male) WVU cheerleaders with chlamydia have standards...

leave RR alone!

I call them on their "Carr left the cupboard bare" BS by pointing out how everyone laughed at Domers for doing the same and they deny that ever happened. In fact, they say it was widely thought Weis succeeded because of Ty's recruits. :slappy: Fucking morons. Never let up on these douchebags.

An interesting observation by a UM fan today, given the parallels constantly drawn between Bo & RR by UM fans (as recently as october). I'm rewording this a little bit:

In his first 2 years, Bo lost 4 games (w/ 1 in yr 2).
In his first 5 years, Bo lost 5 games.
In his first 10 years, Bo lost 15 games.

In his first 2 years, RR lost 14-16 games.

Yeah, but they use to only play 3 or 4 games a year back then..remember everything was black and white and no HD so your comparing apple to oranges :tongue2:

Scout.com: WARNING! RECRUITS ARE READING YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS (long)

WARNING! RECRUITS ARE READING YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS (long)

As the parent of a current UM player and 9 months out of the recruiting process, it is important for all forum posters to understand that recruits and their parents subscribe to and read your posts, both postive and negative. This is one of the easiest ways for a recruit to see what is going on behind the scenes in a football program.

So, before you write your next critical comment on Rich Rod and on a player, you might want to think about who will be reading it. Why in the world would a parent want to send their kid to a school where the coach and players are getting ripped every day by hundeds of online fans. Why would a parent want to send a kid to a program where half the fans want the coach fired; where there is continual discussion about universty in-fighting. Those of you who are continually writing these scathing comments are hurting recruiting and the UM football program!

One main reason I sent my son to Michigan was because of the great fan base and playing in front of 100k people. I am not naive enough to think that fans are not going to be upset after some heartbreaking losses and believe they have a right to criticize coaches and players. However, please understand that these guys came to UM because they believed in the program. They believed in Rich Rod and bought into the idea of building for the future. They want desperately to make things better. They want to go to bowl games and they want to win Bog 10 and National Championships. Do you really think that Rich Rod and Greg Robinson have no idea what they are doing? Do you really think the program will be better off firing Rich Rod? Who, either player or coach, would want to come to UM or stay at UM if Rich Rod got fired and the process starts all over again?

Please consider the next time you want to vent on this website that these players and coaches are working harder than you can imagine to bring Michigan football back. It is great for intelligent posters to give insights that talk about strategy, what is working and what is not. However, emotional reactions calling for the heads of coaches and players will do nothing but destroy this program.
