An Honest Assessment of Rich Rodriguez
:bicker::box:

I love "scottsdaleblue's" posts. Talk about head in the sand...phew.

"Oh good. Another thread that's the same as all the others. Can we combine all these threads into one? What's being said here is no different than the rest of the 1st page. It's funny that none of these threads were around the first 4 weeks of the season.

Same sh*t, different day.

So old."

Sounds like they need to get themselves some elitist pr_ck mods :banger:

Whenever I have a bad day, I just pop my head in there and have a laugh

If you dont like RR....then blame Carr. HE let the program slip and put us in this situation

1) Michigan has two wins over osu this ENTIRE decade.....thank you LLoyd
2) Michigan has TWO bowl victories this entire decade....thanks LLoyd
3) Michigan has had MAJOR problems recruiting Db's and Lb's most of this decade...thank you Llloyd
4) Lloyd did such a great job that NONE of his assistants was capable of taking over

Finally, I think if RR knew exactly how much material he actually had to work with, and how big this rebuilding job would be....he never would have left WV.

1) Both wins by Carr, and at least one only was a blowout. He was still 6-6 against tOSU
2) Again, Carr got you those wins, your vaunted offensive guru didn't even get you to the fucking Motor City Bowl
3) Really? They've had some considerable talent flow through those positions under Carr I thought - at least they had something that resembled a competent defense though
4) Would that be because either they left?: didn't want to work under DR?: or were fired by said DR?:

The bolded section is hilarious. What exactly did the athletic director do, blind fold Rich while giving him a tour then have him sign a blank contract?

Unbelievable folks...

Garbage. UM took a huge step back when they didn't retain Soup Campbell to coach WRs.

I think he meant taking over the entire program. In terms of assistants, most feel they should have kept Loeffler as well. I believe Jackson was the only one actually retained.

DickRod brought downgrades at most of those assistant coach positions. Even the vaunted Barwis' (!!!!!!!!11!!!!!1!1) has meant next to nothing.

This week vs. Illinois may be the biggest game in DickRod's scUM tenure. They should steamroll an awful Illinois. They match up perfectly with them and this isn't even a shell of the Juice that embarrassed them last year. If they get Zooked, they will spiral out of control and Dick's seat might become very warm.

Just a few days ago, these same piss-n-blue dipshits were going "Pryor sux i am so glad he didn't come to michigan this is one battle i am glad JT won. Tate Forcier is so much better QB than Pryor I think we have a good chance against tOSU this year..."

My oh my, what a single game can do to them...

After starting 5-1, Lloyd ended up 6-7 in The Game.

For my 1000th post on Buckeye Planet, I draw your attention to Novemeber 23, 2003, the launch of an endemic process in Ohio State University football history.
Since that distant memory, 2170 days ago there has been no sadness, no remorse, no hang dog faces or if only's. . . only joy for the momentum of the greatest rivalry in the history of clooege football has shifted in cataclysmic proportions.
Someday we may look back on these times as the good old days, wax nostalgic for those teams with the Tressells, Smiths, Pryor, Beanie, et. al. and wonder what ever happened to a balanced rivalry.
Sorry for the day dreaming, just didn't want to waste this post on something insignificant.

Actually there was sadness, hang dog faces, and if only's, on and after that day because it meant we had to wait until Nov 20, 2004 to clear that. From the day of Troy's single-handed slaying of the evil Michigan demon, we've had nothing but joy and celebration in regards to The Rivalry. Yes, Michigan's last victory in The Rivalry may have come on Nov 22, 2003, but we must never forget the pain we had to endure until Nov 20, 2004 because of it.
