2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

DickRod brought downgrades at most of those assistant coach positions. Even the vaunted Barwis' (!!!!!!!!11!!!!!1!1) has meant next to nothing.

This week vs. Illinois may be the biggest game in DickRod's scUM tenure. They should steamroll an awful Illinois. They match up perfectly with them and this isn't even a shell of the Juice that embarrassed them last year. If they get Zooked, they will spiral out of control and Dick's seat might become very warm.

Just a few days ago, these same piss-n-blue dipshits were going "Pryor sux i am so glad he didn't come to michigan this is one battle i am glad JT won. Tate Forcier is so much better QB than Pryor I think we have a good chance against tOSU this year..."

My oh my, what a single game can do to them...

One word...delusion. Funny story about that: I have a buddy who lives on the border, and so he has some Michigan buddies who got him a ticket to last week's Penn State game. When he got there and hit the tailgate scene, he said the dUMb fans weren't even talking about the impending game with the Lions, because they all assumed they were going to win that going away. He said that 95% of them were all sitting around going over scenarios about who Iowa needed to lose to so they would then go to the Rose Bowl after they won out. I shit you not. And this wasn't a few random drunk fans...this was virtually everyone he ran into before the game.

Needless to say, he talked shit all 2nd half and the whole ride home about how everyone else was going to have to play about 20 conference games to catch up to dUMb in the L column

I was bored and needed a laugh so I went to a tsun forum to witness the meltdown that so many posters have noted.

Somebody posts a moronic rant (mlive.com) about "being a real m*ch*g*n fan" which was humorous enough. After somebody calls it the "post of the day," the next reply is even better.

Being a real m*ch*g*n fan means being smart enough to see the big picture and pulling for the team to lose NOW. Running Rich Rod out of town is THE best thing for the program long term. Don't be a simpleton and root for a jersey. Know the game, find some integrity, bite the bullet and hope we lose a lot now so that we don't have to endure Coach Goober any longer than we have to.

For my 1000th post on Buckeye Planet, I draw your attention to Novemeber 23, 2003, the launch of an endemic process in Ohio State University football history.
Since that distant memory, 2170 days ago there has been no sadness, no remorse, no hang dog faces or if only's. . . only joy for the momentum of the greatest rivalry in the history of clooege football has shifted in cataclysmic proportions.
Someday we may look back on these times as the good old days, wax nostalgic for those teams with the Tressells, Smiths, Pryor, Beanie, et. al. and wonder what ever happened to a balanced rivalry.
Sorry for the day dreaming, just didn't want to waste this post on something insignificant.

According to my Excel spreadsheet calculation:
=TODAY()-DATE(2003,11,22)
it has been 2168 days since 11/22/03.

Beating Illinois is critical for the scummers, because it would make them bowl eligible. At least going to the Motor City Bowl will save them travel expenses in this tough time for the Michigan economy. If they lose, I am not sure that any of their remaining games can be considered a sure win. In an ideal world, the'd drop the next three, and we'd get to hand them their seventh loss and keep them out of a bowl for the second year in a row. :oh:

I think you might have stumbled onto Dick Rod's genius. The Detroit economy is awful. What better way to pump money into it than having Michigan go to the MCB?

That, by itself, is fucking hilarious.

To put this in further perspective friends, since the last time the skunkweasels have tasted victory against our Buckeyes, we (as a country) have elected 2 Presidents, 3 Houses of Congress, all 100 Senators, all 50 Governors, and seen 1/3 of our Supreme Court turnover.

Amazing. What were those "Fire Tressel" people saying again?
