2009 TSUN arguments, shenanigans (not football)

Make fun of Bike Hart because he rode a bike. Make fun of him because he ran his [censored]. Make fun of him because he's a midget. Make fun of him because he played for TSUN.

But to say that he didn't surpass the 3*'s given to him by the recruiting services is not accurate.
Agree with Buckyle, JMO hart was a very good RB , he ran hard , broke a lot of tackles and did well.

Yeah.....and yet in the 2006 that amazing defense for the buckeyes let him run for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns against them. Explain to me how such a horrible player can do that to an amazing defense? So horrible he is only 1 of 4 players with 5,000 yards rushing in the big ten and had 41 touchdowns. Truly horrible stuff.

If he was judged by the same criteria for which John Cooper was judged by most. he was horrible.

Terry Glenn and Boston talked alot of smack to Michigan as well....yet buckeye fans defend those guys. I hated those guys but they were amazing players and I give them props. If you don't think Hart was not that good then so be it.

I don't recall either going 0-4. Boston beat Michigan in '98. Glenn in '94.

Point taken, but to me Hart will always be the A-Rod of our rivalry: a guy who put up big numbers, often against inferior competition, but never came through when it mattered most (despite constant, hollow smack talk, in this instance). Stars and recruiting rankings be damned, that's all that matters in my book. Malcolm Jenkins is one of my all-time favorite Buckeyes, and a guy who proved the recruitniks wrong by having one of the better careers ever at a school known for producing talent at his position. But if he had gone 0-4 in The Game, you sure as hell wouldn't see me dropping his name on a Michigan board in defense of tOSU recruiting or anything else, for that matter.

I'm sure I'm being irrational here, but so be it. No one ever said an OSU fan's complete disdain for Michigan, it's players, and, in particular, Bike Hart, has to be rational.

Michigan may be rated 7th by Rivals right now but what happens tommorow when 7-8 schools behind them blow right by them. Michigan will be around 15th-16th by rivals and if they have any decommits tommorow they could end up out of the top 20 on scout.

Rivals absolutely sucks ass. If anybody wastes their time listening to those douchebags they have serious problems...them, Lemming, and ESPN are contending for the lousiest recruiting analyst of all-time.

Look at rivals bust's and boom's of 2005. Their top 150 was at least 60% wrong. That list was 75% Southeast, Texas, and Cali. Thats why their lists are so far off. They have a heavy southern bias.

If Michigan fans think their recruiting class was a success they need to look at our commit list and see how its done. The best player I seen in the three AA games for Michigan was Roh. He is gonna be a great player someday for Michigan.

OSU is smoking out of the gate for 2010. After tommorow we will have commits from 3 top 100 players for 2010. OSU is building something special while Michigan sold their sould ny hiring RR.
Um, just for the record, Scout was probably equally wrong as well.

Recruiting is a crapshoot.

Well at least they got 1. 95 and 96 what happened in those years? OSU had more at stake in those years than 94 and 98.

Oh, I suffered mightily in 95 and 96. 95 in particular. After that loss, I remember my grandfather calling me and I could hear the pain in his voice: "Well, I guess we'll get them eventually." We both thought they'd win a National Championship that year (I still do think we would have had we not lost that game). My grandfather died a couple years later and didn't get to see the '02 Championship season. I hate Michigan just a little bit more for that.

Nevertheless, the guys you mentioned never lost 4 straight. Of the three players in this conversation, Mike Hart is the only one that can boast that honor. It suits him well.

I don't post on GBW but I did stop over to see what kind of response my transplanted post was getting.

I have only one question for all the UM fans who are providing myriad excuses for why OSU is out-recruiting UM.

Are you, or are you not, Michigan?

Cause you sure sound like West by-gosh Virginia.
