yeah I hate to have to agree with Taos on anything ( ) but I think he's earned a couple of more carries, especially if Tressel wants to try something new and different in the red zone.

If Carlos Hyde is able to qualify and Roderick Smith and Corey Brown stick to their commitments (which I expect they will), we'll have eight RBs on scholarship (Saine, Herron, Hall, Berry, Martin, Hyde, Smith, and Brown), plus two at fullback (Boren and Homan). Sheesh...
pnuts34;1578729; said:From last I heard, Corey Brown is going to play WR for us. But thats still a ridiculous wealth of RBs! And don't forget that Erick Howard could earn a late schollie too! That's absolutely scary depth
BTW, does anyone think that with the depth at TB that Martin stays there or moves back to FB?
Ohio State's tailbacks
Freshman Jordan Hall ran for 90 yards on 10 carries. He popped through some holes. He took it to New Mexico State. Nothing is going to change. Asked if Brandon Saine and Dan Herron are the top two backs when healthy, OSU offensive coordinator Jim Bollman said, "Yep." Asked if Hall was pushing to change that, Bollman said, "Nope."
"It's nice to have those guys," Bollman said. "But the two guys who are the best at all the different things are the two older gentlemen in the crew."
Saine looked off his game, rushing seven times for 13 yards, though he scored his first touchdown of the year. Herron was back for his first meaningful action in a month, with his injured ankle in a brace and wrapped, and he ran for 68 yards on six carries in limited action, popping a 53-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Since they will carry the load, both older gentlemen need to do more next week against Penn State.

1. Hall
2. Saine
3. Martin
4. Herron
- Honestly I just think Herron hasn't shown much this season. He was impressive last season but I just think he hasn't looked the same this year. He had the nice TD run on Saturday but before that, I believe his YPC average was 2.9 yards. Saine has some flashes but sometimes I think he looks a little tentative. I just wouldn't mind seeing Hall and Martin see some meaningful carries the next 3 weeks. Both just seem decisive and hit the hole with authority.
