Cannot sign more than 25 on board in one calendar year. Some will enroll early and that will count against last year...
It is all speculation.
I agree with you, I would rather get hall than watt just because he's a glenville kid. However I would like watt to go to illinois, they are the sleeper team IMO. I want to keep the top talent in the Big Ten. I would love to get both of them but that doesn't look like a possibility.ol104;1201182; said:If it really is a case of Watt or Hall, then i would much rather see Watt go to ND and Hall to OSU. I do not want to see the Glenville to Illinois connection gain anymore momentum...i realize you want to keep the talent in the conference, but maybe in this case it will start to be at the expense of future GVille kids

Obviously, with 24 recruits by early July, my interest is higher than it has ever been this early. As I see the commitments roll in, I see numerous comments about how a year or two in the S&G S&C program will turn Recruit-X into a monster, etc...
This has me wondering: What about the 6 months to a year before they enter the S&C program at the WHAC? Can Lichter send the recruits a recommended pre/post season diet and training regimen and a list of recommended and approved supplements?
Clearly, what some of these kids are doing to get big and strong is working pretty well; but let's face it, EL is passionate about his job and is well-versed in the state-of-the-art. He could (if allowed by the NCAA) help the kid idealize their regimen, and at a time when the endocrinological state of their body is ideal for adding quality mass.

The fear would be that they would do the exercises incorrectly and possibly hurt themselves. It is a real worry, because bad form can lead to big problems.
I would assume that they have a dumb'd down version that they would give kids to prepare them for the real stuff when they get on campus.

Ohio State sacking Western Pa.
By Tricia Lafferty
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Wednesday, July 9, 2008
There was a time when Western Pennsylvania's top football prospects were for Pitt's or Penn State's choosing.
These days, the area's universities have to compete with powerhouse Ohio State. And, recently, the Buckeyes have won the recruiting battles.
Since Trinity graduate Andrew Sweat verbally committed to Ohio State in May 2007, four other WPIAL recruits -- former Jeannette quarterback Terrelle Pryor, Jeannette running back Jordan Hall, Gateway linebacker Dorian Bell and Gateway receiver Corey Brown -- followed his lead.
"I think (Ohio State has) come in and mined the field a little bit, and they keep coming back," Trinity coach Ed Dalton said. "These were kids that would have been at Penn State 10 years ago. Everyone has a great recruiter on staff, but when the head coach is a great recruiter, that is an additional thing."
"When you look at elite programs in the country, there are four right now: Ohio State, USC, Florida and LSU," Gateway coach Terry Smith said. "Ohio State is the closest to Western Pennsylvania, and Pa. kids tend to stay close to home."
Hall said he did not commit to the Buckeyes because of Pryor, but he said he fell in love with Ohio State when he accompanied Pryor on his official visit. Tressel, however, was the deciding factor, Hall said.
"Coach Tressel," Hall said, "he's a real cool dude. He'll do anything for you, on and off the field."
