2009 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I agree about Fellows and Carradine being pure pass-rushing DE's, and both having the perfect size and frame to become dominant in college.

Both Fellows and Carradine are players that I see as "must-gets" for OSU because I don't think we can afford to let two incredible pass-rushing DE's like them go elsewhere (especially Illinois).

I don't see Fellows as a "pure pass rushing" DE...I see him as a combo. He is solid against the run and the pass. Carradine is more of a pure pass rusher at this point. Either way, I agree they are both "must-gets" for us. Imagine a DL class of Carradine and Fellows on the ends with Simon and Adams inside. In '02 we had an outstanding DL, which I think was the difference in the NC game from the last 2 year. If you have a good DL, it makes your LB's and secondary better. So if you have those guys on your DL in addition to Goebel, Rowell, Mobley, Williams, and Wells, it's going to give a field day to Sweat, Sabino, Klein, Whiting, etc.

Underwood is a solid looking prospect...watched him film recently when I was scouring ScoutingOhio...

A couple of under-the-radar kids I like are:

TE Brian Wozniak
OL Austen Bujnoch
LB Luke Kuelchy
LB Chris Snook
TE Ted Belser
LB Maalik Bomar
LB Dan Fox
QB Patrick Nicely
DE Terrance Powell
TE Ted Bolser

There's a Ted BOLSER and a Ted BELSER in OH this year? And they're both TE's?
Wow what an eerie coincidence...

Put me down as really liking Snook as well...

I still cannot believe that Snook's teammate MLB Tyler Houska has yet to get any attention. No stories, no video, no mention on the recruiting sites whatsoever. He has been all-district for the past two years, he's an excellent wrestler and has more than enough size (6-3 215). I'm not saying he is necessarily OSU-caliber, but he is a definite D-I athlete.

That's not true...you've mentioned him three times now...
