Talor is a ball hog? If he passes it then he is not taking charge,if he holds it he is a ball hog. It is a no win situation. When you are winning people love you, when you lose they point fingers. Let's just hope that he is a ball hog that can deliver when it comes to the big dance.

Confessions of a Sports-Addict blog rates the top-25 teams' tourney chances, and compares each to a celebrity lady. #5 OSU gets Marisa Miller and a good review:

5. Ohio State Buckeyes
Why The Will: They have the best player in the country in Evan Turner, and he is surrounded with the key factors that can come together for a deep tournament run including a shooter in Jon Diebler, tough defense and second and third scoring options in David Lighty and William Bufford. They are the Victoria?s Secret runway show, with Evan Turner starring as Marisa Miller, and he?s surrounded by quite a bit of talent.

Why They Won?t: They are not deep with Thad Motta typically only going 7 deep in the regular rotation. They could be worn out if they go deep in the Big Ten tourney and then have to grind it out over the two weeks of the tournament.

Bottom Line: They are a title contender (and were my futures bet a few weeks back), yet they have the potential to get knocked out in the sweet 16 by a deep team that uses full court pressure to wear them out ? Louisville? Tennessee?

Ohio St. backcourt more than just Turner
By Adam Rittenberg

INDIANAPOLIS -- Thanks to his position on the basketball court, Jon Diebler rarely finds himself more than 40 feet away from Evan Turner during Ohio State games.

It's safe to say Diebler enjoys the view.

"I'm perfectly fine with Evan going to the basket and scoring every time," a smiling Diebler said Saturday after Turner went for 31 points in a double-overtime win against Illinois in the Big Ten tournament semifinals. "He can do it all game if he wants."

There are stretches when Diebler can sit back, watch and marvel at Turner, just like the rest of us. The Buckeyes' junior guard can take over games, as he showed throughout the regular season and in the Big Ten tournament, where he averaged 27.7 points, eight rebounds and 6.7 assists in three games en route to being named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Turner is the favorite to be named National Player of the Year, and he should be a top-three pick in the NBA draft if he chooses to forgo his senior season.

But the Buckeyes' backcourt doesn't start and end with No. 21. Turner is the front man, but the other three aren't exactly roadies.

Without contributions from Diebler, junior David Lighty and sophomore William Buford, the Buckeyes wouldn't own Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships, not to mention a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Turner's versatility might be unmatched in college basketball this season, but all four OSU guards contribute points, rebounds, assists, loads of minutes and -- not to be overlooked -- stifling defense.

"We all feed off of [Turner]," Diebler said. "My job is to make shots, same as Will and Dave, to be aggressive on the offensive end. We know we have to be ready when our time comes."

Ohio State's supporting cast steps up when the time is right
By Marlen Garcia, USA TODAY

Ohio State's Evan Turner played Jon Diebler in a game of HORSE this season. Simply put, Diebler shamed Turner, his teammate and roommate.
That says a lot about Diebler. Turner is a national player of the year, averaging 20 points, 9.2 rebounds and six assists.

"We were just shooting threes," Turner, a junior, recalled last weekend. "I was shooting pretty good, probably about 60%. He didn't miss for like 30 shots. He beat me pretty bad, and then we went one-on-one. I beat him twice. He let me get a little bit of my pride back."

Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball team adjusts gas on conditioning, now has plenty left to burn
By Doug Lesmerises, The Plain Dealer
March 25, 2010

COLUMBUS -- The mission was to make Thad Matta's players tougher, and Dave Richardson's military training, as well as his success as a power lifter and decades in college strength and conditioning, made his acceptance of the goal very clear.

"Coach, I know what toughness is," Richardson said.

So through a grueling summer of off-season training, his players running through a sandpit, around an obstacle course and up the steps of Ohio Stadium, Richardson pushed the Ohio State Buckeyes past their limits. Then when Richardson watched those players go through the intensity and fast pace of a Matta practice when the season started, the Army veteran had one thought:

"Holy moly. The way this cat practices, our guys are going to die."

That was four years ago, Matta's second season in Columbus and Richardson's first, Richardson's demands plus Matta's demands overloading the players. An OSU team led by Terence Dials, Je'Kel Foster and Jamar Butler won the Big Ten title but faded at the end of the season. Since then, both Matta and Richardson have adjusted their training to lay a foundation that allows the Ohio State starters to stay on the court longer than any players still left in the NCAA Tournament.

Glad to see that someone is noticing that not only are the Buckeyes the best conditioned team/able to play 40 minutes of the game, but
are ripping scoring streaks during stretches of the 2nd half when other teams are gassed or getting fatigued.

Today is a huge day fr the Buckeyes and we don't even play. I think there re gonna be a couple of upsets.

I think Cornell gives Kentucky trouble especially if Cousins gets in foul trouble.

Washington might beat WVU especially with their poit hurt.

Syracuse is a clash of styles...

KSU/Xavier...coin flip.

I'd love to see a couple 1 seeds go down.

Agreed.

Washington has Pondexter, and WVU is from the Big East. ha. But seriously, Washington definitely has a shot.

Syracuse is due for a good letdown game, so who knows. If Wesley Johnson plays anything like he did Sunday...pheew.

Cornell is dangerous because they can hit threes, so they are really never out of a game. Couple that with the fact that KU has had it easy so far, and if Cornell comes out hot and takes a 10-15 point lead, who knows how the freshmen will respond, especially "jackass" in a box Demarcus Cousins.

I love the tourney, 7:30 can't come soon enough!
