2009-2010 Men's Basketball (Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Champions)

As a bracketologist and a person that correctly selected the Final Four last year, I can tell you that the team Ohio State wants as their 1 seed, would have to be Duke. They are almost the exact opposite of us, they are not athletic and do not have a dominant or physical big man. After that I would say I want Villanova, they play well together put only have 1 pure scorer and offensive player with Scottie Renyolds. The team I don't want in Ohio State's bracket, Kansas. They are filled with pure scorers and a very good big man. After looking over possible matches, I say we have a pretty good shot at the Final Four

Nova will not be a one-seed.

We match up well against Dook or the Cuse; not well at all against Kansas or Kentucky IMO. But we could beat any of them if we play well. I believe we'll most likely be a 2-seed.

I agree with you - we have a very good shot at the FF this season. One game at a time.

oh if you all could only hear the cries here in Knoxville.....actually I'm surprised you can't. People here are whining because Tenn has wins over Kansas and UK, and same amount of losses as tOSU, but are number 16 in the polls......it's hilarious!!

Those two home wins are certainly as good as or better than OSU's wins at Purdue and Sparty. The difference to me, is the losses and the timing of said losses.

OSU is 12-2 over their last 14 with the losses being @#10 WVU and vs. #7 Purdue. 3 of OSU's losses came without one of the best players in college bastketball and a 4th was his second game back from injury. The pollsters seemingly are willing to look past the losses at UM and Minnesota due to the ET factor and how well OSU is playing right now.

Tennessee is 6-5 in their last 11, inclduing a 15 point loss to unranked Georgia (13-14 on the season), a 9 point loss at home against a good Vandy team, a 19 point loss at Vandy, and a 13 point loss at unranked Florida.

If the Vols had taken care of business against UGA and UF, I expect they'd be right about where OSU is and probably even higher.

Tennessee's biggest problem is they are as inconsistent a team as there is in the NCAA. They play Kentucky and Kansas, they look like the #1 team in the land. They play Vandy and Georgia, they look like a fail to make the NIT field. Baffling.

Frankly, Florida suffers from the same disease this year. Up-and down teams, big-time.

How exactly does Ohio State match up well against Syracuse?

1. We have played well against zones this season, and the outstanding midrange games possessed by Turner, Buford and Madsen play well into where Syracuse's zone has inevitable gaps.

2. Wesley Johnson is a load, but Dave Lighty is the perfect defensive matchup for him (in our favor).

No offense, but it doesn't sound like you've watched much of Syracuse.
