Has any program gone through such a monumental implosion in recent history?

What's transpiring is utterly shocking. Funny... but still shocking.

Many are arguing that Forcier was going to start anyway, and that this helps with landing Gardner in 2010, who wants to play early. There are some very big problems with this scenario:

1) UM desperately needs depth for when Forcier gets dinged up (as any true frosh do, let alone a 6' 180 lb qb in a spread option system). Threet & Sheridan are not suitable replacements at this point.

2) If Devin Gardner still feels he can play early at UM after watching the '09 season, then Tate will have struggled and RR's seat will likely be searing hot.

3) If they need Gardner to play right away, it could spell serious trouble for RR. Devin is very raw and would give RR his third straight season with a brand new quarterback.

piggybacking off of Josh....but it would not be shocking to see DRod go through his tenure at UM without a multiple year starter at QB. He won't get enough time.

I am starting to find the comment by tsun fans that everyone is either afraid of competition or the s&c program to be tiring. I would be happy if more than the occasional realist to come out and say "there's some real problems, and if this doesn't get fixed we're in serious trouble" yet the blind faith just leaves me wondering what the hell are these fans thinking? I am very loyal to tOSU, but if this was happening with our program I would be biting nails, concerned and probably banned here. This is beyond "one bad season" they are losing players to non-bcs schools, they have a coach who has embarresed their program, and the hope they stand by is "Rick Leach likes they guy!" Woo fucking hoo, how many past players have made comments about concern with the program? Yet, the blind faith is there.

I hope they do like Charlie Weis and almost beat the Bucks next year so this balding fuck can get a long term guarenteed deal that sets the wheels in motion to keep them fucking horrible for generations.

2008 - Todd Graham steals longtime UM verbal (QB Shavodrick Beaver) from his mentor and snake oil expert, RR, and does so a month before Beaver was set to enroll early.

Graham was hired as the head coach at Rice on January 1, 2006, following the resignation of long-time coach Ken Hatfield after the Owls had finished 1-11 in 2005. At Rice, athletic director Chris Del Conte helped Graham raised $5.5 million for renovating Rice Stadium and replacing the dated AstroTurf with FieldTurf. He hired former University of Texas quarterback Major Applewhite as his offensive coordinator,[2] replacing the triple option offense Hatfield had been running with a more balanced attack. On November 24, 2007, when Tulsa played Rice at Rice Stadium, the Rice University Marching Owl Band presented a halftime show named "Todd Graham's Inferno"[4] (based on Dante's "The Divine Comedy") which implied that Graham had entered a special circle of Hell when he abandoned Rice for Tulsa. The use of the word "douchebag" in reference to Graham resulted in a formal protest to Conference USA by Tulsa's athletic department. Chuck Throckmorton, the marching band's director, later apologized for offending anyone, but not for the show.[5][6]

The spin in their official thread is just too much for me.
- "Fuck Beaver". I can't imagine the number of bannings there would be here if there was a riot of "Fuck {decomits name here}". You stay classy, Michigan fan.

It's not just the scout boards, it's everywhere, blogs, hailvictors, etc... they've somehow decided that they guy was gutless. Same way they decided that TP was overrated when they lost him. I've seen a lot of boards, but they make Notre Dame boards look like they know what they are talking about...
