ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Rich Rodriguez is not even sure what to expect in his first season at Michigan, where expectations are modest for a team in transition.
After building West Virginia into a national power and sharing a $4 million buyout with his new employer, Rodriguez has a tough task because he's without a lot of players who beat Florida on New Year's Day to cap Lloyd Carr's career.
Offensive tackle Jake Long -- the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft -- quarterback Chad Henne, running back Mike Hart, receivers Mario Manningham and Adrian Arrington along with a handful of significant players on defense are gone.

Rivals $

5-star CB Darius Winston will announce (again) the first week of Sep. UM among top-5, but only Ole Miss & Arky (original verbal) have received visits.

Doesn't look good for UM...

It indeed does not. Unless he's absolutely enamored with the staff, I can't really see him committing without seeing the school first. Then again, Shavodrick Beaver committed without visiting, so maybe....

But probably not

Agree, it doesn't look good! The only thing that gives me hope is that Jay Hopson is recruiting him and Hopsons has pulled in 2 guys already without them visiting michigan Dequinta Jones and Beaver. So you never know, but most likely its Arky.

Can't hurt :)

However, we do have to remember that not everyone is wired the same way. Tressel's more laid-back, relaxed method works for him, and Rodriguez's angrier, more intense method works for him. So, to expect every coach to use the same motivational methods is a bit far-fetched, no?

Tressel is anything but laid back.
