2008 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Art Kehoe is the OL coach at Ole Miss....

I'd really like to know which 30 "powerhouses" put Sanders ahead of Adams. It seems to me that all the real powerhouses (you know, the actually good teams) have Adams over Sanders.

No one said Sanders isn't a good prospect. He clearly is...his offers show that. The issue was your ranking him ahead of Adams. If you come around here and say that...you best be ready to back it up with some kind of specifics IMO. Sure, there are some that will be closed minded and call you an idiot...but many others (likely that are not posting) would be interested in your opinion and take it FWIW.

I think what I don't understand is Big Mike being ranked #1 in Ohio by BK and then getting ranked 7 spots lower. Some of these "Old Ohio" talent evaluators watch these kids practically every year (more than once) and yet their opinion is overrided. Also having J.C Shurburt as someone who evaluates talent screws it all up. You loose some credibility right there alone.

Yeah and that's also why Miami's offense has been so good these last few years right Steve? Also, which 30 "powerhouses" (by the way, there are not 30 powerhouses in college football) had Sanders over Adams? It didn't include most of the teams who have been having success on the field recently (USC, Florida, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU) so which ones are you talking about?

How about Florida for one? I think they recently played Ohio State...how did that turn out?

Many of the schools that have offered Sanders have put a lot of offensive linemen into the NFL. 30 powerhouses? Yeah, that was probably a bit of an exaggeration...I meant 30 of the top Division I programs. Of course there can only be one real powerhouse every year.

Actually, I didn't come around here and say it...I was pointed to the site because of the comments already here.

I'm happy to defend my rankings, just not here...where it's like selling a box of hamburgers at a PITA convention.

Well, the problem is that some of these "old" Ohio talent evaluators don't get out of the house to do their evaluating.

Steve, I think that you would find, that if you actually gave some evidence to back up your claim that Sanders is better than Adams, that people would listen to what you had to say. They may still disagree, but right now you look like you have absolutely nothing to back up your claims and are using the fact that this is an OSU forum as an excuse to not post anything.

2731's point was that Florida offered Adams, but not Sanders (at least I don't think they did, and if they did, it was after Adams). Many of the schools that have offered Adams have put a lot of offensive linemen into the NFL (sound familiar?). Which offers are more impressive to you? Miami (Sanders) or Florida, USC (Adams)? I picked those three schools for comparison of schools that have offered vs. schools that haven't offered each prospect (that I know of).

Hard to respect this position. Most, including myself, are curious about your point of view...yet you don't back it up with anything of substance. :shake:

But, to each their own.
