That means there are three open slots currently without anyone else leaving the program.

Potential additional schollies:
We still haven't heard from JL yet.
If Torrence's problems are legit that could open one.
Further transfers/attrition

Potential slots taken:
If Terry gets a medical redshirt
If Thomas was granted a schollie
If Domicone commits in the near future

So while things are tight, there is still a bit of wiggle room




We'll have to check with Milli. He may not have put Bauserman back in the "active" list after he was originally lost to minor league ball.

Thanks for putting that together.

Word is JL is returning. Domicone has verballed apparently. Wells is about too, most likely, according to Brewster (grad21 recent news), so yes, we are very tight it appears.

If we really are the leaders for Jenkins and Pryor, there must be a lot of transfers/casulaties yet to be announced. Also, I asked this earlier without response.....Thoma was awarded a scholarship last year. Would they ever transfer that scholarship to an incoming freshman and give Thoma the walk-on label again?

Domicone and Martin are in...Wells will likely follow suit...that leaves two must-gets in Jenkins and Pryor and another spot possible for either Harris, Bayless or Johnson. JL is likely to return at this point (at least from what I'm hearing) and Boone could possibly follow suit. I expect the last 2-3 schollies to open up because of transfers...we are hearing some names floating around and the fact that we see these late offers leads me to believe the staff knows who is coming and who is going.

I will say what I said before...I see us finishing with Pryor, Jenkins and Wells...anything beyond that is like icing on the cake...

Is Curtis Terry definitely getting a med redshirt?

If so and if Pryor, Jenkins & Wells are on board that's 88

+1 likely misc = 89

Which would mean four more lost through attrition.

While that would be the most useful thing the Pirates organization would have done since the opening of PNC Park (sigh...), the way I understand it is that once you step onto the field, you are on scholarship.

You misunderstand. There are 20 (I believe) walk-ons who pay their own way, or have the Pirates pay for them.

If he plays he counts against the 85 total, that doesn't mean that the Pirates can't foot the bill rather than the University however.

Similar to an inter-Big 10 transfers like Kerr.

He counted against the total number but was never on scholarship.

Like I said...I see the number around 21 or so...not sure how the staff gets there although I have some ideas/have heard some things...so we'll see if that happens or not. Rest assured, the staff didn't trade the offers to Pryor and Jenkins for offers to Domicone and Martin. They got offers because the staff felt like there would be room in addition to Pryor and Jenkins...

No stuff, who the heck does wadc45 think he is by consuming food during the peak of the recruiting season? Take one for the team "45." Tracey Gold and Nicole Ritchie have been known to go for weeks without eating and they're both doing okay now. :bow:

Seriously folks, does anybody out there really think that when NLOID rolls around that there won't be a LOI sitting in front of Wells, Pryor, and Jenkins from TOSU?

If we finish the way Wad45 is speculating we will, there's no way this is not the #1 class in the nation. I don't care where Rivals/Scout/Kiper/Piper/Pooper etc. rank them. We've filled most needs and then some. Pryor/Wells/Jenkins make this possibly the best we've ever had, should they perform close to their potential. I cant remember a bigger class in a long long time either. We're looking great where we are at current so the additions of these guys would be fantastic.
